Lovely story around Glimt but sadly they couldn’t go one more round. They did themselves proud and in a world of obscene money and power at the upper echelons of football, Glimt reminded us of many of the reasons why we love the game. Well done that club. Class outfit.

I watched highlights of all the games. PSG just look frightening. They were well past their peak at the Club World Cup, but they are coming to the boil again nicely as the CL gets to the sharp end. They put eight goals past Chelsea over two legs and looked as though they could have done more.

If we manage to put in enough of a performance against Galatasaray to go through, it won’t go any further, and it pains me to say that because I always want to be optimistic about our chances. But the PSG team I just saw are a good level above the Liverpool side we’ve seen this season. Ugh.
