UEFA Champions League

Oh no

Awful mix up and that’s that.

Yeah. Bitter end to a nice dream.

He shouldn’t be leaving that.

Not bad at all was it.

Europa League isn’t bad for Bodø, but being so close to the illustrious Champions League, is of course bitter

I was cheering for them like mad !

Oh, you meant the second Zagreb goal ? Yeah, that was awesome.

Well I would understand the confusion if Bodo scored a second goal…or even a decent goal today lol.

I thought you meant the game, which was far from bad, since Bodø was the best team on the pitch apart from the first half and after they were forced to make substitutes in extra time. The subs were necessary since they were spent, according to Knudsen, but destroyed the rhythm; and in the end they got sucker punched.
But if anyone saw the game, they wouldn’t say Zagreb was the best team. But these dramas happen in football and scoring is the most important aspect in the game.

Well for some Norwegians there is always Ajax to cheer for in the CL … :innocent:

We can’t be drawn against another English side or anyone else in Pot 2. We also can’t have 2 teams from the same nation (so we can’t have 2 German sides, for example). Personally, I would prefer teams that we haven’t played before (or, at least, recently). Frankfurt from pot 1 would be ideal. If not them, then a German team from pot 3 would be nice or Shakhtar Donetsk. Any from pot 4 would be fine although one of the Scottish teams would be fun.

I thoroughly expect us to draw the same old, same old again.

Since Klopp arrived we basically played all the top teams except for Juventus. Unfortunately they are also in Pot 2.

Eintracht, LFC, Salzburg, Plzen. That group would have a nice Europa League touch about it.

Ajax, Napoli and Celtic would be nice.

Worst case scenario - Madrid / Inter / Marseille

Best case scenario - Frankfurt / Salzburg / Haifa

I wouldn’t want us to get Haifa. A long trip to the middle east, playing on a dry pitch, in a different climate. No thanks, I’d take any other team in that pot over them.

Frankfurt in Pot 1, that’s a joke for a start! Spurs in Pot 2, that’s even more of a joke!

I would like to avoid Haifa and Donetsk due to the distance.

Dortmund in Pot 3; my, my, they have regressed.

Do you think any of the Pot 4 clubs will make it to the knock-out stage?

Where are Donetsk playing their home games right now though, isn’t it in Poland?
