The last eight consists of seven from the top nine sides based on Uefa coefficients, with Premier League leaders Arsenal the only outliers.
In other words, the QFs are exactly what a 10 year old could have predicted at the beginning of the season by just picking the 8 strongest sides on paper. Who wants to watch that?

Thatās why I have always been against seeding because it is engineered to create this exact scenario and protect the top clubs from early exits.
That is the joy of the FA Cup when you can get Coventry in the semi and top sides playing each other in the 3rd round. Long may it be so.
