Refs are nowhere near tough enough on diving
Anyone else feel as though the CL will just become a matter of going through the motions for most European teams every single season, with the end result being the 4 Premier league teams reaching the Semi-finals every single year unless they get drawn against each a little earlierā¦
I feel it is becoming more obvious each term that the Premiership with its money, is getting to the stage when it seems futile for others to attempt to compete in the CLā¦
The stuff wet dreams are made of !
Not really. Real and Barca have both mismanaged themselves into bad positions, but will inevitably start to turn around, and both put enormous value on winning the CL. Similarly, Juve is a huge club that has come to the end of a cycle having met with failure, and will rebuild with a clear eye on the CL. PSG doesnāt even care that much about Ligue 1. Bayern already uses the Bundesliga as a platform for trying to build a CL winning side.
Iād actually say that situation was closer to happening ten years ago, when the PL money was not as large, but in relative terms the gap was even larger.
Offsides, Iām sure.
Hahaha 3-3
Damit, another person that has climbed into my head and typing my thoughts. Or I am thinking like a German, donāt know which one is worse.
One less team to face
Hope this affects their league form!
I think Iāll be watching the BM vs Brokelona.
!!!
- We now can not get drawn to Juventus in the next round.
Though Juve are shit, itās good Chelsea potentially could draw someone good.
How come Der Classiker was played with fans just a few days ago but there are no fans allowed in the Allianz Arena tonight?
Why is Bayern stadium empty tonight.
Really narrows our pool down nicely. PSG, Sporting, Inter, Barca-Benfica, Villareal-Atalanta, Salzburg-Sevilla-Wolfsburg.
Guy I play beer league with who is a Porto fan very much wants us to draw Sporting, figures it is their turn.
High covid rates, no spectators allowed
Restrictions are at the state level, that match was in Dortmund
Federal states in the south (such as Bavaria) have decided games to be played completely behind doors while other states have other rules.
Der Klassiker was played in Dortmund and 15000 fans were allowed.
I think itās obviously I was just desperate for football itās hard to watch without fans on reflection.
Understandable though.
Funny that Wolfsburg can end up as group winners, second and fourth but can not end up third to play in the EL.
