The word ‘Tory’ to describe the Conservative Party originated from the Irish word ‘tóraidhe’ meaning outlaw or plunderer of stolen cash

There is also a reality that liberal policies poll better when they are presented in isolation than they do when they are presented as a policy of a supposedly liberal party. This may not be what they are doing, but a center left party will give itself more room to operate on its own left if it has first succesfully played the vibe game well enough for people to view them as reasonable/centrist/non-extreme.

Old News Corp split in two about 10 years ago, separating the publishing from the media. All media (tv and film production, not news or broadcasting) stuff became a new FOX entity (21st Century) and was soon thereafter acquired by Disney. All "news’ type companies though are still part of the slimed down Murdoch new News Corp

Agent Truss

Got to admit Agent Truss is doing a better job of relegating the Conservatives than Agent Benitez did at Everton.

PM doing interviews on local radio this morning and it appears to be not going well for her…

Apparently gilt yields started rising again as she was speaking on these :see_no_evil:

Surely the mask has slipped enough that anything she or Kami does now won’t influence confidence? I don’t think there are different levels of ‘basket case’…

Listened to all her interviews where she reads scripts. Hatred is too gentle a word Can she be done for treason?

Much better ones in the thread.

“When you were in David Cameron’s government you used to believe in stable money and not borrowing. Have you changed your mind on that, like you did on Brexit?”
