Isnât this just a Government rhetoric and the soundbite commonly used by its supporters to defend the issue that their party may have failed on delivering its policies.
This is the problem with politics, there is no ownership. It is more often than not âan inherited issueâ or a response that is reflected rather than actually answered. It is becoming more common for a parties campaign to focus on the other parties negatives rather than their own mandate. This is shameful and we are all guilty of being suckered by this.
You mean the polling is likely going to get worse for the Tories?
With the top story today likely to be about the potential strategic blackouts that may need to happen this winter, any bets on how many times the PM uses the words âPutinâs warâ together? Sheâs already taken a liking to it since becoming PM, and today sheâll be in overdrive steering the conversation back to thatâŚ
He has been progressively losing his majority in Buckinghamshire (I think) for several years. I would bet that would lose his seat if there was an election today.
what is going on?
Dont know but he said this during conference

There looks to be something else in playâŚ
There was essentially open rebellion going on during the whole conference.
Why is Sturgeon speaking publicly about not getting a phone call from Liz Truss? I think the phone line runs both ways. Ring her up Nicola! Go for it!
How many Tory MPs in Scotland? Might give us a clue as to where that ranks on the PMs priorities. Sheâs busy destroying lands that voted for her party, never mind lands that didnât!
more attention seeking by Sturgeon or
Truss probably feeling intimitated by Sturgeons competance as a leader!
Making it known that Truss doesnât care about Scotland. If theyâre still pushing for independence then increasing that divide is a goal for the SNP (ably assisted by the fact that the Conservative party indeed donât care about Scotland).
The line may run both ways but power only runs in one direction.

Yep and itâs still continuing

Frankly absurd if the work on campaign was advanced as they say. That means a lot of money has been spent on it ! But mostly it is absurd because I struggle to understand why it is more ideologically correct to not advice people for sake of âfreedomâ, than it is to seek to conserve resources in a time of crisis. Political conservatism is supposed to be about fiscal cautiousness. Itâs bad for the state if private debt goes up due to energy prices, it is bad for the state if unemployment rises due to stagnating economy; this is common sense, isnât it ? The UK currently has unsustainable energy prices compared to wages of itâs citizens and it will remain that way throughout the war most likely and perhaps beyond (sanctions will remain in place for a long time), does not then the state, represented by lady Truss, have a vast invested interest in decreasing energy domestic energy demand ? Does really slogan âfreedomâ (i.e. the state advising people is too intrusive) trump prudence ? This is strange conservatism.
