There is, undoubtedly, an element of racism, but it’s not just that. If Africans came with bags of money, they would surely find a warm welcome. The bias is against poor black people.
When the East African Asians arrived in the UK, they were welcomed by Enoch Powell. How could they not sympathise with other refugees?
I am not disagreeing at all with there being an element of racism in her comments.
I am not aware of the breakdown/percentage of the ethnicity in these ‘camps’ or any other camps, maybe you have figures? I would expect there to be a lot of people from the middle east aswell.
So is there a bias against poor black people or just poor people in general? Surely, the majority of financial/political asylum seekers are poor and are seeking a better life. They pay ‘monies’ to people smugglers on the gamble that they will not die at sea or in a container, etc, for the promise of a better life.
To clarify my stance, no living being, irrespective of race, religion, sex, height, colour of eyes, etc, should live in poverty and without the right to the basics of life. 
Racism isn’t limited to white people.
I agree with @Bekloppt , there is an element of racism in her comments and as @cynicaloldgit said there is racism in other groups too. When i looked at old pamphlets of the National Front, the rhetoric in words were alarmingly similar.
Braverman and Patel are the type to climb up the career ladder and take the ladder up with them. They are just in for themselves.
The use of the word ‘invasion’ is a calculated political move. It might be racism, I don’t know. What I do know is Braverman and the Tories are trying to play on people’s basic fears.
It’s a despicable move. People don’t like using the word fascism to describe the current government, but if this isn’t facism, then I don’t know what is.

A lot of those in the camps will probably be from the middle east, or perhaps Asia. One of the targets of the vitriol named as justification for this mistreatment is Albanians.
I heard somebody yesterday saying that Germany flat refuses to consider any refugees from Albania.
I think it’s very important here to piggyback off your post to note that one can be a member of a minority ethnic group and still be racist against others.
I do very much agree it’s racist, and the whole invasion rhetoric makes me think of Enoch Powell.
That’s interesting. I think they had about 1200 applicants last year refusing about 800 with the remaining applications still being processed if I have read the link below correctly.
