Itās the sad state of weaponising the whole topic. The whole subject is a complete clusterfuck of problems, failure, spin, downright lies and completely out of control.
People are rightly angry about it but, imo for completely the wrong reasons.
You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about defending the Tories record on the NHS. The fact is, after 12 years of Tory government, the NHS is on the bones of its arse. Thatās just indisputable.
That Trustās are openly talking about selective charging is a sign that the NHS is in serious crisis.
And any imposition of selective charging will inevitably end up in a two tier system. That is just inescapable. Either formally or informally.
No no no. I have a bee in my bonnet about the constant and continuous accusations that the Conervatives will (WILL) sell off the whole NHS. I donāt defend them but I canāt stand the blatantly incorrect slurs. Yes, some of it is now private and for the better IMHO. This government is committed to free at the point of service. Thatās what matters.
You could have points for that one if it were a fair comparison.
That appears to be a calculation that the Scots might win an independence referendum. Itās also a calculation that the Scottish Independence movement has always been and always will remain peaceful. I rather hope that they are right on that second bit.
I wonder if heās actually read the act, just like heād apparently read the Good Friday Agreement?
Worth watching as puts the dog whistle about illegally entering UK in perspective.
I reckon this is the tip of the iceberg. I often hear that Labour wouldnāt have done anything different in the pandemic and I say they wouldnāt have done that. They wouldnāt have entertained a gaggle of fucking coorporate ghouls looking to make a quick buck on a public health crisis.
I saw that on the news earlier.
The fact that someone so limited holds one of the Great Offices of State is simply embarrassing.
