Dominic Cummings ‘is behind’ Elon Musk’s bizarre rampaging assault on UK politics
Story by Alexandra Snow
Dominic Cummings is allegedly behind Elon Musk’s bizarre UK political obsession and his relentless jabs at Sir Keir Starmer, according to senior government sources. Boris Johnson’s former communications tsar is apparently sliding into Musk’s DMs on WhatsApp, adding more misery to Starmer’s administration.
This comes as Cummings said back in 2023 that he is planning a new “StartUp Party” to shake up the dusty Westminster system. The source said that Cummings is encouraging Musk’s incessant social media posts calling for Starmer to be removed from office, and criticising the PM’s record on the grooming gangs scandal while he was Director of Public Prosecutions.
Many were confused at the timing of the Tesla billionaires’ posts, as they seem to not stop even overnight. Sources believe that Musk “must have a UK-based co-conspirator writing the posts for him,” further fuelling Labour’s suspicions of a Musk-Cummings coalition.
An ally of Musk said: “It is 100% true that they [Musk and Cummings] are talking about smaller government and the end of the traditional party system.
“It is not just Elon, Dom is in constant contact with major Silicon Valley figures, who are becoming increasingly anti-woke.”
Cummings, the mastermind behind Vote Leave and Johnson’s 2019 election victory, famously resigned in disgrace after his legendary Barnard Castle trip. It was during this brief stint in Number 10 that he somehow managed to strike up a relationship with Musk.
The X owner used the platform to spark fury across the country and reignite the debate about the grooming gang scandals. He described Keir Starmer as “evil” and said he should be in prison.
He asked his followers whether America should “liberate” Britain from its “tyrannical government”.
It was revealed last week that the Home Office’s Homeland Security group, which is responsible for reducing national security risks, was monitoring Mr Musk’s posts.
I’m sure you do over time.
He such an odious, obnoxious creature. His meddling and manipulation of the general public has caused long lasting damage to the UK.
Of course they should.
I’ve always felt that the balance between income tax and tax on wealth (like inheritance) is totally out of whack. We put a massive premium on taxing what people earn, and we’re terrified to touch what people bring in as unearned income.
There is a really strong argument to radically reduce income tax, and squeeze inheritance, dividends and other forms of passive income.
yep.
there are all fucking ridiculous…no matter the subject, no matter the party, its just deflect deflect deflect…
someone has written him a script and he cant deviate
Don’t employ anybody to actually fix the potholes though. This government is like watching a man sinking in quicksand grasping for anything to keep him from going down.
But at least the AI will be able to predict where they will occur!
Don’t like potholes?
Don’t drive.
Ah potholes. Another failure of inadequate funding.
Where did the pothole money go John?
I don’t see anywhere in the article where it states that the government is committing additional funding to this, or is prioritising this over potholes though?
If there’s any relation to potholes at all, isn’t it simply trickle-down economic theory supposing that the government will eventually get revenue from these AI investments that it can then use towards fixing potholes?
Unlikely as councils will need to hire a consultant to identify and measure every pothole and then ptepare and go through a tender process to hire a contractor to actually fix the potholes.
Alternatively, you can just tell the council about it:
If you don’t ask, you don’t get.
I’m talking about increased revenue from supposed economic growth from the investments, nothing about AI tools.
Yep, no problem. I’m just highlighting a big part of why they dont get fixed and how broken the system is.
From an engineering perspective, is there a reason why potholes get fixed instead of just re-laying the entire road?
I’m not sure if people have grasped how scary and dangerous the rapid development of AI is. There’s a huge need for this to be accompanied by ethics and regulation. Unfortunately we’re also in the age of billionaire oligarchy where governments’ focus is on tech company profit over any regulation and ethics
It’s much cheaper and faster to fix individual potholes. Potholes tend to develop during the winter months and re-laying a road is better done in summer.
