skysports and i quote, " This has been so mentally and emotionally draining for me to cover this from here, I can only imagine how difficult this has been for keith downie covering this from there, the Newcastle fans and the ownership group." MY God man, THIS IS FUCKING FOOTBALL. You wanna know whats emotionally draining? Watching the news and children in Gaza getting killed and starved. Now that’s emotionally draining. What the fuck is wrong with this world? Grown-ass men crying because another grown-ass man does not want to be their friend anymore.
Any Brentford reporters want to tell us how draining their summer has been?
They’ve lost two of their top stars by the way.
Amen. The lack of perspective from these folks can be astonishing at times.
Who. Gives. A. Shit.
Zero shits how butt hurt Newcastle feel. Zero fucks for the hypocritical media narrative. Not one ounce of understanding for their fans who just want to spend the blood soaked money of their state owners to their hearts content.
Ultimately it’s all just words spewed into media black hole that will attempt to be filled with some other hyped upped super critical thing they’re desperate for us to care about to give them clicks and views.
If you can’t help but get drawn in the just lap it up. It means absolutely zero in the grand scheme of things. In a couple weeks time he’ll be on the pitch playing for the champions and that’s all that matters.
well said. I just had to let it out in this safe space of ours..fucking idiots the lot of them
Welcome to Liverpool Alexander Isak.
Do your best and enjoy your time at Anfield. A footballer’s career is short.
Please be mindful and respect the club, the fans and count yourself lucky that you crossed over the line on deadline day.
As ‘the Great’ Shankly said, “I’ve drummed it into our players time and again that they are privileged to play for you”.
Frimpong’s smile in the mirror.
Hope he doesn’t start in these games though he seems to have suggested as such.

watched the interview; the dude just looks a bit emotionally drained and just glad it’s over. I can only imagine how his family has been handling all the nasty and racist stuff targeted at him. He will need to be loved and care for
Dawned on Anthony Gordon quickly then.
The one that really hit me was Torres. Fowler I knew wanted to stay but Ged sold him so I was mad at Houllier. But, until I found out that the entire club was in trouble and that somebody (Purslow I suspect) had told the medics to conceal Torres’ knee situation from both him and Rafa, I really felt let down by El Niño
May this striker purchase from Newcastle be better than the last one we bought from them!
Welcome Isak!
Remember watching this in Lanzarote and thinking ive never heard of this lad but he looks good. Took his goal really well.
In the 2 of the last 3 years ive been to Lanzarote its the same time as Newcastle games - and if i went when i was due to this year it wouldve been 3 from 4 …and all included dramtic endings for us!!
He looks tired and quite frankly, depressed. I’ve never seen a new player being that flat in his first interview. This summer must have been exhausting for him.
This is a lad without any pre-season training under his belt, and coming out of a difficult time. So, the club will now have to do everything to take care of him, in all senses of the word: physically, mentally, emotionally. The pressure is immense, and hopefully he’ll be able to live up to it after some time.
Welcome Alex, may you enjoy a great time and win a lot of trophies with us!
It’s just his style.
Footballers are rarely eloquent and interesting these days.
I think Isak is actually quite bright though, in that context.
But I see where you come from, he can leave the “miserable bastard” impression from time to time.
