Welcome to Liverpool, Giovanni Leoni!

This lad has only been at the club for just over a week. He witnessed the crowd and events at the Bournemouth game, and tonight he was on the bench to witness first hand the Sandcastle game and the hostilities we faced… plus our never say die attitude to score the winner in the 100th minute…!
He must feel as though he stumbled through some sort of portal dimension for football, where winning goals are scored regularly after the 90th minute :0)
Bet he can’t wait to get a game

Might be sooner than he thinks if Konate continues his capers.

Who is the youngest? I dont think it is Bergomi because while I know he was the youngest to play in a world cup for them his first call up was not until right before that 82 world cup after qualification had ended.

Not sure how right transfermarkt is , but using this link

shows Davide Santon as the youngest player to play for Italy in a world cup qualifier.

He looks a bit like the young Clark Kent disguised as a football player isn’t he?

The evidence is that the PFC is still generally developing until the late 20s

His performances and Joe’s health will determine how hard we push to sign Guehi in January I would think.

Still just 18 and he already looks like a brick shit house. He’ll be terrifying in a couple of years.

Missing out on Guehi could be a blessing in disguise for this lad. Konate had his first good performance this season and came off injured. Gomez fragility goes without saying. The fixtures will start piling up so he will get minutes. Physically he already looks well up to the task so hopefully when his opportunity arises he shows us we got a gem on our hands.

Leoni (and Ekitike ) perfectly illustrate why Liverpool played an absolute blinder this transfer window.

We got in two top notch players early, likely with the knowledge that Isak and Guehi were going to be tricky to do due to the dynamics at the clubs they were at.

ā€˜Damn, we held firm in the player (Guehi) we were targeting and that player held firm in us but we were screwed over by a third party (WHU) at the last moment in our quest for another CB, and there was no time to pivot. Luckily*, here’s one we prepared earlier.’

*With much foresight.

we shouldve offered this lad to Palace on a season long loan.
With Gomez signing new deal I cant see him playing much this season

That only works if Glasner was receptive to new signings. Interesting idea though

Why would we offer anyone to Palace?
Deal was done, they pulled out.
Punish them by letting Guehi come on a free next summer.

Plus…any thoughts on Gomez or Leoni having a say in where they might be going?
