Welcome to Liverpool, Giovanni Leoni!

Having 6 outfield players over 1,90m on the pitch can be a big advantage.

Maybe we should ask Arteta how to win corners :grimacing:

Wasn’t this something highlighted as an issue last season.

Tangent from the real conversation, but I saw a pic of Greta Thunburg wearing a football top yesterday and I would bet money it was peak Nedved.

Most people cannot get their head around it, but replacing Zidane with this guy actually made a great Juve side even better

Notwithstanding the improvements as a footballer Leoni will make, as a youngster making the step up, getting more experience, and especially training and learning at Liverpool; based on the Pythagoras in boots analysis it would seem a Leoni and Guehi partnership would have a bit of everything for when we need to start looking beyond Van Dijk and Konate.

Italian De Ligt, worst Italian insult I’ve ever heard. Worth 2 headbutts to the chest.

You have to wonder sometimes whether the perfect mix existed that just made everyone appear better than they really were. It’s like VVD, any defender that plays next to him is immediately 5% better.

Two players: De Jong and our Grav

In hindsight, throwing caution to the winds and just attacking doesn’t make for a very effective team. Ajax had a good run to the CL semis. Doesn’t mean anything more than same favourable matches and freak results.

Grav was only ever a bit part player during the run. Would be 17 or 18 years.

As long as he’s given a fair crack of the whip and isn’t judged unfairly based on playing 2-3 cup games with a full 2nd string side (much like Quansah last season), then he’ll be fine.

Soon as Ibou is out for a number of weeks/months (we all know it’s coming), get him straight in there alongside Virg and learning his trade.

Dear me, have they seen this in Newcastle … :see_no_evil_monkey:

I think a slight part of that is also Virgil. I can definitely see him rejecting Newcastle, accepting Liverpool, with Virgil making it a no-brainer due to the kid being inspired by him.
