All the best of luck to you for making that big, huge, enormous step, adapting to your new city, and to this weird league, where opposing players will welcome you to the league by trying to break one of your legs, and where the refs tend to determine the outcome of matches as they make it up. Don’t expect any gifts on your way, the refs won’t protect you, but will hand you yellow cards for the slightest of touches, just because you aren’t a ‘fair’ English player.
Also, the slightest mistake from you will get all the media on your back for weeks, slating you without mercy. Even if you don’t make any mistake, they’ll try to unsettle you by placating stupid tags on your back. Opposing fans will do the same.
You’ll have to battle through all of this, but it seems by the account of people who have seen you play, that you like tough battles, so hopefully you’ll fit in, fingers crossed!
