We haven’t played yet, and we have some business to do to boost our own prospects, so with that said… hahahahaha. It’s always good to have a reason to laugh at Man Utd.

We can still laugh at them without a reason. :sweat_smile:

I posted a quote from Carrick a couple of weeks back that was remarkable for its inanity. I suggested then that we might be in for a treat this season , and it looks like we are ;

"ā€œI’m talking to you quite calmly, but I’m not exactly calm inside and enjoying the day, so there’s a big difference,ā€ he said. ā€œI played [for United] for a long time. You don’t get to play here for a long time without just going day by day, the results, the ups and downs, but you just carry on as normal.

ā€œIt’s 100% not that, and trust me, it’s not that. It just doesn’t mean that we all have to shout and scream and come out and create some chaos just because of it. Inside we’re hurting and we need to get better. But the calmness doesn’t mean there’s no emotion in it, for sure.ā€

I’m even considering starting a dedicated thread.

I wonder if they would go for Slot if they jettison Carrick :person_shrugging:

Slot could end up at Spurs if this is a suggestion of their season.

Goldbridge has been saying FOR MONTHS they’ll win their first 3 without breaking a sweat and who knows what will happen if they get their confidence up…

Well they should win their first two but games aren’t won on paper. They should be quite settled as a side compared to most.

Very odd match - for the first 15 minutes or so, it was about what you expected with a Top 5 club versus a promoted side. Then Hull just started getting a little traction attacking, and ManU didn’t seem to have a response - loads of possession, but very little incision.

They really just watched everything that happened with SolskjƦr and still decided to give Carrick the permanent job based on an interim manager’s bounce.

I’d be laughing at them if I wasn’t worried that they were going to sack Carrick and aim for Enrique in a year.

Reminded me very much of the last 10 years. Lots of crosses and easily dealt with.

I expected them to be dragging Hull all over that second and forcing chances. I think they had one decent chance, very poor.
