When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

How long does Casemiro have left on his contract?

Signing a declining lardo to a four-year dealā€¦oh dearā€¦

He was their best player last year, too.

Think Mancs reckoned that theyā€™ll get 35-40m if they decide to sell him in between with the length of the contract being the factor in the eventual transfer price.

But if that doesnā€™t happen , then they are well and truly fucked. As in the Saudiā€™s donā€™t approach , Casemiro doesnā€™t want to move etc etc.

De Zerbi picked a starting XI that cost Ā£17 million in transfer fees to assemble, roughly a quarter of the Ā£73m United paid Borussia Dortmund to sign Sancho in 2021.

If you go back the early Fergie days there is a conventional wisdom that Mark Robbins saved Fergieā€™s job with that late winner in the cup semi final, but itā€™s just not true. Martin Edwards had a shared vision with him for what they needed to do to get back to the top, appreciated where they were in the project at that time and retained full faith in him.

Obviously there was a big mess at the club to clean up and they have to be realistic about the time frame even a top manager will need to address that. But the relevance of that Fergie counter conventional wisdom story is to question what do the people who run the club think about where the problems are stemming from? If they believe that EtH has brought some of this on with his decision, then we probably are getting close to the point where these conversations need to start being had. And from the outside at least, I think you can make a good argument that he has spent reputational capital on decisions that has contributed to things getting no better. The Martinez transfer has been middling at best. He is serviceable, but no where near the level youā€™d want out of a player the manager specifically advocated for that the scouting team were not otherwise interested in. But that is dwarfed by the issue over Anthony. Bringing him in undercuts any argument he makes about the cultural importance of getting rid of Ronaldo. Itā€™s left them facing a tight FFP environment this past summer. And now has them in a PR nightmare that might tip the scales.

Honestly, itā€™s great to see
