Correct me if I wrong but Mazraoui also played for Ten Hag at one point? I thought that “getting the band back together” experiment was over?
De Ligt might need Ten Hag to revive his career, he’s not been the same player since he left Ajax.
Strange career he’s had. Let go by both Juventus and Bayern, fourth or fifth choice for the Netherlands… how good are we supposed to believe he is?
He’s never really been bad at either, just not the lock down transformative CD he was hoped to be. He is certainly good enough to play at that level, but just maybe not at the level for a big club to look to as a solution to as a fix for a bad defense.
Wow, for all the talk of how Utd finally have their shit together, this is a terrible side.
Everton would better not comment, Remember they conned an independent panel that they were acting in good faith and everything was fine now.
Well good thing there’s no big club looking to him as a solution for a bad defence then…
I want the manures to win. They have some injury and fitness issues to the start of the season. With De Ligt agreed, winning this, Ten Hag will come out all guns blazing and challenge the owners to back him again to invest in more players…and then boom October, results start going down, the shit fans start booing him, and he is gone by December after spending whole lot of money.
His career has survived thanks to the Ajax hype. Same for Frankie, to a lesser degree.
Greedy Manchester United accused of cashing in on fans - fleecing them for £71 for FA Cup
With Premier League football less than a week away now, fans up and down the country have already opened up their wallet for tickets, shirts and even photo opportunities
Greedy Manchester United bosses have been accused of cashing in on fans after they announced charges of up to £35 a pop for fans looking to pose for a photo with the FA Cup.
The tightwad Old Trafford chiefs are demanding the fees despite rivals clubs letting fans see their silverware for free.
The Old Trafford club demands £36 for a stadium tour, plus £35 for four images with the cup — a total of £71.
It costs £25 for only two photos, and £15 for one.
United banked £151.9 million Premier League money last year, for finishing eighth.
Marc Gander at the Consumer Action Group, said: “An out-of-touch boardroom which celebrates success by awarding a penalty against their own fans shows they only understand the ‘bottom line’.
“Nothing about loyalty, nothing about shame…and nothing about football either.”
Martyn James, independent consumer champion, said: “This blatant money grab from Manchester United is particularly galling.
“There are some things that fans shouldn’t have to pay for - and a photo of the contents of the trophy cabinet is one of them.
“Times are hard and fans shouldn’t be priced out of these precious moments.
United declined to give a formal comment but said they charged for photography as a “commercial product” and “fans seem happy to pay for it”.
The signings of De Ligt and Mazraoui from Bayern means they have now spent over £230m on players ( along with Antony , Martinez and Onana) on players who all used to play for the manager. Presumably they will be looking to sign five more and go for the Full Ten Hag.
Sort of Radcliffe all over this.
Also a bit sad considering where they used to be.
Eric Tan Blag might be getting his old motorbike club back together
Frenkie de Jong transfer gets ‘green light’ as Manchester …
3 days ago — Manchester United have reportedly been given the green light to re-enter the battle to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong this summer.
Must have 11 to make a playing team, so have to go Erik eleven Hag.
de Jong will make it six. We’re getting closer !
The Athletic:
“Leny Yoro’s medical scans showed a possible metatarsal issue when he joined United.”
“United pressed ahead anyway as they believed the 18yo CB would be a top player for them for the next decade.”
Imagine that, owners who actually buy players?! So jealous
Maybe now we know why Madrid didn’t go for him.
Very hard on him.
Every new season, strange new manager.
But this time round, he’ll at least get a sense of Déjà vu, for better or for worse.
