Football management is the perfect job it seems.
You don’t even need to be good, or be at least half decent once and that’s it.
Does seem a difference between Slot and ETH.
Slot has no time for small achievements. ETH seems to revel in them.

Damn,
I’m now makjng myself available to take the United job.
A positive record that includes his team getting destroyed 7-0 isn’t much to speak about. I doubt he’ll be bragging about his record over Klopp.
Good bye, Erik. Good bye.
It’s been coming. We all wanted him to stay but he was just so bad that he couldn’t even give the most optimistic Mancs a faint whiff of hope.
What now? Well RVN takes the reins, and even if he doesn’t stay in the role furlong, he should be able to make up some ground while the going is good. Expectations are low, so even if he whips them into shape, nobody will demand he gets his nose in front. They will be happy if he looks at some of the big egos and puts his hoof down, telling them hay, stop whinnying all the time! Etc.
@Nikola has spoken!
Utd lose in the last minute after a penalty given for a VAR overturn that will almost certainly be reviewed as being a mistake
Nik: Utd always get the luck
SHH. Do not contradict the Nik on this. On all matters United, the Nik rules supreme (just like his transfer threads).
Somethings which even nikola can’t undo
That crappy decision has cost the club £13.5 million.
I can’t stop laughing.
Punted by the worst WHU team for several years.
Would love some sort of graphic re how many managers each player in the squad has played under.
Ha.
Shaw is their longest serving player (ignoring Evans), and he and Rashford both made their first appearances under LVG.
So that would mean Ruud will be their 7th after LVG, Jose, Ole, Carrick, Ralph, and EtH
We are talking about the club that got a match-winning penalty AFTER the referee had blown for the end of the match with the score tied, FFS!
Away at Brighton.
Remember it well. The Seagulls hit the woodwork about 17 times, too.
Seagulls do tend to shit on their targets with unerring accuracy
I really thought he’d do well.
He kicked the shit out of the lazy players, benched maguire and had the balls to get rid of the toxic players AKA ronaldo and pogba.
So glad to be wrong
Bit of a misery RVN though…
Every time you look at him he has got a long face :0)
More will be written in time that may change the perception, but it appears he didnt have the strength of his convictions. He correctly identified that Ronaldo needed to go if he was going to be able to play the football he wanted, but after he won that battle he just stalled at that point and didnt go through the hard yards of changing the side to what he wanted. Too many people in his position are unwilling to take the short term pain of a team struggling to adapt, but if you take that medicine today in two years your team will still be one that isnt good enough and without any identity.
