Take it up with @sandsoftime and Eddie Grant .
Something tells me the Sporting Lisbon manager isn’t going to oust the Sporting Lisbon youth product either. He’s there to stay.
Man Utd willing to pay the release clause, so it looks like it’ll be done.
All this money for binning Ten Hag, and paying the release clause for Amorim, they must be edging close to PSR, shirley?
Maybe they’ll expect to generate funds from sales in the summer, or focus more on bringing through the youth. I guess even though they’re 14th, they’re only 7 points off 4th, so perhaps they may be thinking a new manager bounce could push them closer to competing, or maybe try and win the Europa League, get into the CL that way, and bring in increased revenue to work on the squad.
If he intends to use his favoured 343 formation then to me there’s going to need to be a huge amount of player turnover again because that squad does not have the personnel that suits that kind of system. The club captain having to play from the LW or in a midfield two is far from ideal.
Where does 7 points the other way go though…?
So the Caf was busy nutting last night when some bloke posted a possible lineup with 3 at the back.
Took two posts before someone said, That looks pretty shit…
Bless 'em.
I want to see that lineup, genuinely curious.
It does conjure up images of Amorim’s first ManU practice 11v11 session
Mourinho?
We’ll have to see if that’s the formation, but a 3-4-3 does have two spots for Fernandes. Though which side will also depend on Rashford.
It actually wasn’t as quick as I remembered, my memory was clouded by another lineup posted by another fella (with Shaw in it…LOL!).
Awful? doesn’t look that good
Just for a start, Mainoo should probably be where Garnacho is.
They may as well play Maguire as a forward if they play a high line like that.
Tell ya what… If it is Amorim coming in at this stage of the season, not knowing the pace of the PL, the fixture congestion, shit refereeing, mixed bag of showboaters, media gaze well and truly upon him, living in hotel or makeshift accommodation first few months, all at only 39yrs of age - just how good are his man-management skills for stirring up some passion from the players and fans, immediately…? or, is he more of a slow-burn, winning people over eventually, as in late March etc
If this guy does not hit the ground running… they could be in a relegation dog-fight before we know it, with European qualification nothing but a mirage :0)
@Alright_Now_Legend translate?
Replacing Slot seems decent planning.
This seems like a panic. I think I’d have left RVN in charge. He might do very well but they are going spend loads more.
Also why are they head coaches and yet have so much power in buying players.
That’s something that definitely does not adversely affect the Manchester clubs.
