When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

He was disciplined fairly early on along with Rashford for some unstated things, but given his immediate return to the side it seemed like something that was quashed. It would be such a United move to end up moving him and Anthony on this winter, failing to land a replacement and having to turn back to Rashford…who then goes on a mini run of form before getting another contract extension and disappearing for another 18 months after that

Anyone who thought the “worst Utd side in history” comment was some cannily calibrated comment to get a certain response is likely going to have to reconsider that due to this

You dont immediately back track from inflammatory comments if they were calculated

Yet another sign that he is really uncertain now, and finding himself in over his head. He probably meant what he said, and was expressing frustration - but there is no margin for that.

And now has explained himself by saying he is young and will make mistakes, which is why he doesnt like speaking to the press after the game.

Seems about as well planned as Liz Truss 4D chess moves.

Will he last as long?

EDIT: For those wondering, he surpassed her on 30 December.

Im going on the assumption of cabinet appointments in the Thick of it.

“ I sack you within 6 months I fucked up, I sack you after 6 months you fucked up”

Liz Truss was just one fuck up though so there are exemptions.

I did wonder whether his outburst was prompted by, and he was trying to stamp out, the same issues Paul Sturrock faced when taking the Southampton job, and perhaps more relevant ETH at Utd - where the players dont really listen or respect the coach because they dont have the reputation or track record the players expect?

Your point being it didn’t end well for Thelma and Louise?

I guess I’m trying to say all famous duos end up crashing in a flaming wreck eventually

Absolute bollocks. Cannon and Ball were at the top of the game for decades, never had a falling out.

What a way to go.

Sadly they did. Bobby Ball had addiction problems and became overly aggressive, which led to them parting ways. Some years later he got himself clean and they got back together again.
