It sounds like it’s only a loan and that is probably the difference. It allows him a full summer to work out a deal somewhere else he prefers he seemingly wasnt able to get lined up in this window
Right, but United wanted him on loan, too. Here’s the timeline of events:
Spurs bid 50M for him on a perm
Bayern accept, but the player says “no”
United come in looking for a loan
Player says yes
Bayern say they want an obligation to buy or a 50M perm deal
United say “no”
Spurs come back in looking for a loan with no obligation
Bayern and player both say “yes”
It’s fucking stupid, the whole thing.

Same knee as before, too. He’s likely finished at this level, hard enough to come back from one ACL rupture, but a second one and you have to start questioning the integrity of the repaired ligaments.

I don’t wish injury on anyone, but that’s not one of the saddest things I’ve seen. The way he goes about his business often seems dangerous to the opponent.

No Rashford, no Antony, Martinez out indefinitely. Addition by subtraction? Maybe they have some youth who will get chances, but that doesn’t leave a large margin for error even if they are only sustaining competition in the PL (not out of the FA Cup yet)

Malacia is also out on loan now and i dont think Shaw is back yet either.
They do have Dorgu joining and Garnacho hasnt left though.
