When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Scamorim! (Part 3)

They were actually rat droppings.

Amorim has been truly rubbish. He has far exceeded expectations!

When he came in they were two wins back from the CL spots. OK, that might have been too much to hope for, even for their deluded fans, but they surely would have expected some sort of uptick in play, a pattern to emerge, some good results and say, Europa football to be achieved for next season, with the promise of better to come as Amorim shapes his squad this summer.

That all seemed very doable.

Instead they just avoided relegation, have had the coffers hit by their epic failures, and will not have enough money for Amorim to shop as he likes, though presumably there will be some dough available.

But is he the man to spend it? I’ve been so unimpressed.

They look screwed. Long may it continue. (My fear is someone in the Middle East will buy them out, lock stock, and give the Glazers what they want, Jimbo what he wants, and will build a new stadium and install a new manager who knows what he is doing. Hopefully that won’t happen).

It’s going to be hilarious watching them waste this.

They had the world’s highest-paid tea ladies.

They’ve already spunked 2/3rds of it on Cunha. Even selling the likes of Mainoo, Rashford, Garnacho, etc. won’t actually alleviate this, they have massive outstanding debts and amortization payments coming due this summer and next. They need to sell just to balance the books, never mind to invest in the squad.

You can say what you want about FSG and the way they’ve operated since buying the club from the hapless Hicks and Gillette, but you can’t say that we haven’t been run sustainably and responsibly, despite fans’ cries for big spending over the years. The work that they’ve done at the club should ensure that we are set up to compete at or near the top for the foreseeable future. Looking at United, you can see the decades of mistakes and missteps coming home to roost, and you just absolutely fucking LOVE to see it.

It is also to be remembered, within that appalling run of results since he arrived… They included for a new manager bounce :0)

It’s also fucking hilarious that people like Goldbridge are still kidding themselves that the only way to crawl back up from rock bottom is for the club to be sold lock , stock and barrel (to some rich Arabs presumably).

Did they really miss that bit when the Glazers pretended to put the club up for sale just to get some mug (Ratcliffe) to invest billions for a minority shareholding. When will it sink in that those parasites have no intention whatsoever of giving up the riches the club affords them for doing absolutely nothing.

Yup and the deal is perfect in the sense they can hide behind him now.

Then again Radcliffe has hardly covered himself in glory.

Remember his audience: @SBYM

Just to add to your previous article - there are some great tidbits about their current financial state. Those almost 100 million pounds are likely to be spent on Cunha and Delap according to this but it seems like they will sell quite a few of their players to fund another transfer splurge this summer (Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Garnacho, possibly Fernandes to Saudis, which could be one of the biggest sales in recent times, I think, given he’s their best player by a country mile, with a few of his best years still ahead of him).

I think there is a clause in the Chelsea deal that if they dont buy Sancho this summer they have to pay Utd. He’s been so pointless that Utd might actually make money and still have the player to send to someone else.

According to the article I posted above, they are looking to sell roughly all of their wingers, which suggests that they are likely moving firmly into 3-4-3 system and that Amorim will get two no. 10s to play behind the main striker, with two central midfielders behind them. Not sure what happens with Diallo in this scenario - he’s a winger, and a good one, not a no. 10.

Having not watched his Sporting but having watched his Man United team, I also don’t know what his football is supposed to be. I know he beat Man City in three matches this season (I think) and he took points off a 10-man Liverpool side but I don’t think his tactics can be analysed - they rode a wave of opponents’ mistakes to get to Europa League final. My biggest take about his system is that he likes his centre backs to be comfortable on the ball and comfortable going forward but I struggle to describe the rest of his tactical ideas.

I’ve had a front row seat to the greatest piece of performance art there ever was, and when it’s all over, which won’t be long, you’ll all be asking yourselves why you didn’t make hay whilst the sun shined.

Soon all you’ll have are your rubbish jokes about korma or something.

I’ll have the memories, and all the wanks. So many wanks.

WHY IS NO-ONE TALKING ABOUT THE FACT THE OWE £300M FOR SOME OF THE DONKEYS THEY’VE ALREADY BOUGHT?!?!?

WHY??!!!

WHY??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

:donkey:

It would honestly be difficult to dream up a scenario where someone fucked something up as completely as they have. It is quite the moment we find ourselves witnessing.
