Who would you buy?

Klopp has a way of playing, yes. He is also one of the best managers the game has seen. Not necessarily aimed at you, mate, but I find it spurious to suggest that one of the best managers the game has seen cannot get some of the finest footballers to have graced the pitch in his team and make it work. It goes something like this:

‘Imagine how Klopp can get the best out of player x, woohoo’

What do you think about Lewandowski (Suarez, Messi etc etc…)

‘Nah, no way they’d fit in’

weird how Neymar is 29.

i mean, deep down i know he isnt 22 years old anymore…but he STILL projects still like this player with potential waiting to take the next step.

odd.

So the Lingard syndrome?

Haha yeah he’s a strange one, never stepped out of the Messi/Ronaldo shadow, never will it seems.

Considering he turned Lewi into the beast he is, I think Klopp would welcome any of the mentioned strikers… Maybe not PEA…

After Klopp ‘ruling out’ a new midfielder today I think the only chance a new attacker comes in is if Shaqiri + one of Divock or Taki leaves.

Suarez now. Not Suarez as he was. Suarez is playing less than 3000 minutes these days while Salah is playing over 4000. Suarez is fantastic still but doesn’t work as much as he used to do for us.

Hasn’t it been said Taki isn’t going anywhere so for the other 2 yes that seems to be about it.

Pearce says a new attacker would only happen if we would succeed in selling both Shaqiri and Origi.

But that would leave us with two more players to spare. I guess we could find a new loan for Taki near the end of the window. And then Elliott would maybe be that extra “23rd” player to remain with us.

To be clear, this is just what Pearce is saying he thinks.

Klopp seemed a bit agitated in his press conference today about spending. Possibly being discussed in another thread, was mildly surprised to hear his “real fans” retort.

Because he gets asked about new signings every single press conference he ever does. No doubt it gets annoying.

He’s manages a Premier League football club. If that’s annoying to him, he should go be a postman or plumber.

EDIT: the “real fans” blast was strange. And if the reporters were doing their jobs, a good follow up question could have been: these contract renewals are great news, we understand LFC has the 3rd highest wage bill in the league, do these new deals with pay rises now make it the highest wage bill in the league?

And again, I posted this in another thread, I am relieved to hear Klopp thinks the squad is perfect, I’m excited to see them comfortably compete for PL/CL/FA.

Now that fixture congestion and substitutes are no longer a challenge. He has enough quality, these collection of players are more than capable of silverware this season.

I’d put it down to him maybe thinking to himself “why do i have to keep explaining my footballing philosophies again and again to journalists who’ve been interviewing me since i arrived 6 years ago??”.He’s never been about money spent and keeps having to bang on about quality of players needed and if they aren’t there, they’ll keep the money and wait till the right players are available, not just spend money because everyone else does.

Also,James Pearce for example asking about a Gini replacement with a Midfielder who scores goals, our style of play doesn’t involve our Midfielders to be goal scorers,it would be nice for them to chip in with a few more but first and foremost Gini was played to win the ball, keep the ball, pass the ball and cover full backs so they can push on and whip in crosses, then get forward and score if the opportunity comes.Pearce lives and breathes LFC for a living, for him to not know how Klopps system works baffles the shit out of me,i’d imagine it pisses Klopp off having to keep answering these silly questions all the time from these type of journo’s,unless he was trying to get a reaction out of him.

Definitely do not want us to win FA.

Well I do. A club of our size - and wage bill - should be perfectly capable.

Increasingly I think that Pearce is actually a bit thick.

Yeah I do agree with this.

I think broken out into pieces of what he said today, I’m not going to pull any punches I think Klopp misspoke in the heat of the moment, it was a poor choice of words.

I love my job, it annoys me some days though. Especially when I’m answering the same questions multiple times.
