How about Tomiyasu for CB? Don’t understand why Arsenal are triyng to sell him.
They’ve got Saliba Gabriel White Timber and Kiwior already.
Probably looking for someone that can help balance their crazy spending.
- He is more of a RB than CB and 2. He missed most of last season with a knee injury, so could be his recovery has not gone as thought or hoped
There is a saying in American football that if you have 2 QBs you have 0. The idea being that if there is still a discussion about which one to play its because neither is really good enough to nail down a spot. This is the same as is happening with this idea of buying multiple players to fill 1 role.
It is a pretty horrible analogy… which isn’t even the least bit relevant.

If you think we need two different profiles of players for the role for a horse for courses perspective then fine. That was not clear from your post, but if so that is a slightly different situation.

I have no interest in any American sport. But I get the analogy. However, you do need a back up to cover the position.
Anyway, it’s a tough subject to tackle but hup hup hup!
It’s like a draft pick, in the bleechers with hot dogs, field goal in overtime, home run, time out, running back, curveball with added cheerleaders type of thing.

My tuppence, just from what I read (so if there’s previous, I’m unaware of that) is that PaulRojo came in a bit too strong on the analogy. It’s just a forum though, and we all have the potential to rub each other up the wrong way a bit.

I’m sure we will bring in another young CM/DM probably Lavia or we go back to Thuram.
If our midfield business is not done after that id hope we go for an experienced DM.
Probably plenty of options out there but Wataru Endo comes to my mind. Would be available for around £15m. Reliable like most Japanese players. High energy level. Fighting spirit. Leadership. Don’t know what stats say but imo he goes a bit under the radar for a few years now.

Poorly. Kone is pretty wank to be honest.
If/when he does make his way to the PL I feel like he’s in that category of player who will sign for Villa/West Ham/Everton and get the fans excited before just being a random squad player for them.

I can imagine Andre would be the one. Anybody we go for would have a huge fee attached but he has a release clause.
