Was going to say the same. Actually, I’m wondering why wasn’t a starter for Brighton lately - he was always one of the better players on the pitch whenever I saw him play but last night he was the best, in my opinion.

Also possibly Hurtzler trying combinations and seeing which ones come off. They do have an awful lot of talented young players. Jose Pedro coming back gives them an added dimension and threat in attack.
Ruter was excellent against Spurs but rather ineffective yesterday.

Yeah but we won’t be completely dependent on him. He would just strengthen midfield options significantly. He is young and he is proving himself in the PL, that’s a big plus.

Sure there were a few whispers around us and him before he went to Brighton. Might just have been fans pushing the “if Brighton want him to replace Caicedo then get him now instead of in two years when he’ll cost four times the amount.”
If João Pedro can stay fit he’s another to keep on the radar. He’s definitely someone we’ve been interested in previously and now seems to be finding his scoring boots at the top level.

Regarding Cunha. Gary explained how it’s a challenge to “hide” Cunha when Wolves don’t have the ball because he isn’t the best without it. Highly doubt we’d carry someone like that.

Think both @Limiescouse and @Mascot mentioned this before but it’s almost worth the price (well it was when we used to get players from Southampton) if a player has time to develop and mature in the PL before buying them. The price we are paying is the near certainty that they are ready to hit the ground running.
I think we’ve got a better relationship with Brighton. They probably aren’t likely to take us to the cleaners.

How we probably played Chelsea into paying much more over the asking rate ?

We wanted Caicedo when Klopp wanted to play with the sole DM and 2 8s.
We’ve since graduated to a double pivot and a 8ish 10.
Baleba might just be the guy our system has evolved from

He wins balls and is very progressive with his forward runs and passes. Almost like a more rough/physical version of Grav!
