Who would you buy?

No thread openings from Nikola. Please. Except the Gordon thread.

Why are we buying players from every PL clubs?

Because we need 19 new players!!

& new regulations as of a week ago now say you can only buy a max of 1 player per club per window.

To keep Barry Sith happy. He was getting bored of winning the league.

I opened the Kerkez thread only for sneaky Nikola to delete it

And given a choice between Hall and Livramento, I’d actually choose the latter (provided his injuries are a thing of the past)

Livramento can play both LB and RB. That surely counts as an advantage.

Maybe the trip of Kerkez / Livramento and Frimpong. Especially if we’re ready to get Gomez out

Neco Williams has been offered a new deal at Forest but has not signed yet. His current one expires in 2026.

Wouldn’t be a terrible idea for him and Bradley to “platoon” the RB role - although I don’t think it will happen.

What do you mean by “platoon” the role? Not sure I get that.

Share the time, without either one really being a clear 1st choice (although Bradley is a better prospect and in time I think would establish himself).

Get Cherki please he bamboozled Manure and scored but he was let down by his team mates tonight.i am not sure about Ekitike he was played as a target man but he is quick and very tall and like Cherki young.

I’d get Cherki ahead of Ekitike as I watched both of them playing for the France U23 team and Cherki assisted most of the Ekitike goals and also scored himself a la Salah.

Is still like Micky van de Ven. I don’t hate Spurs (except for Levy) but I think he is wasting his time there.

Surely won’t leave this summer but maybe in 2026. Could also cover LB position in the post Robbo era.

I do think VdV is another hamstring injury away from losing his super power. A bit like Owen. I am no doctor but hammy at an early age.

Oh and Cherki for £20m as reported. Seems fair. We need more creativity at 10. Would let Szob drop back.

Drop back… where? At double pivot? He could prove me wrong, but I don’t see Szobo as a double pivot option, at least not for now.

That said, we did play a lot of games as the season went on in more of a 4-3-3 shape, especially against more quality opponents.

But in that case you don’t have that single #10 position and I’m not sure if Cherki could play the false #9. It seems like we want a new main striker and then we’ll see if we add something between the lines.

Is Aulas still in charge of Lyon ?

He’s known as a tough nut to crack in transfer negotiations. And I still remember the fekir transfer saga

No, plus Lyon are in a totally different situation to back in the glory days. CL football could be a big boost for them if they qualify, though.

Not a double pivot more a box to box.

Where would Cherki play then? Or you mean two false #9’s like Arsenal often do.

Not sure we play a double pivot. Mac gets forward more. So one sitting Mac, Grav or another. Szob alongside but license to go forward.
