So, Egypt is out? Mo will be very disappointed, and I feel sorry for him, but the chance that they were making it to the final was very slim anyway. Now itās time for him to focus on getting fit and on the end of this season which, if heās up for it, could be pretty special yet. Fingers crossed!

It was a reference to the 74 world cup when a fancied Scotland side finished the group stage unbeaten including drawing against Brazil, but still went out on GD.

Some goal by the Malian to break the deadlock against 10 men Ivory Coast. Youāll never see a tournament with as many shocks in it as this yearās AFCON. The commentary said he didnāt celebrate because he was born in Ivory Coastā¦his wiki page suggests he was born in Mali 
Not been a day for Kossounou, gave away the pen (which Mali missed) then already on a yellow brings down the player just outside the box after being nutmeggedā¦2nd yellow.
Wow scenes, fair play Ivory Coastā¦stuck to it despite playing whole 2nd half and ET with 10. Beautiful flick to wrongfoot the keeper.

Nice play between Chukwueze and Osimhen, footwork in particular by Osimhen to change direction and sprint into the pen box was niceā¦ Bit silly from the defender to lunge across him like that, heās going nowhere.
