Get well soon, Ox :crossed_fingers:

That was a good goal, threw himself at the ball, hungry and committed.

Did he really get injured again?

Yep, turned is right ankle. Nobody near him, he just fell to the floor.

That shit happens. He was starting to play well as well.

He has some terrible luck, he’d just scored a good goal as well.

The Boss said post match looks serious but obviously hoping for the best.

Well taken goal. Not easy either with the CB jumping right in front of him. Concentration. You forget other guys can score when it’s usually Mo or Mane getting in those positions.

I didn’t think he was playing that well until he scored. What happened next summed up his Liverpool career perfectly. Scores a cracking goal and you think he’ll be bursting with confidence and can show us all what he can do, then trips over in the mud with no one near him, turns his ankle and limps off. Such a nice guy you can’t help but want him to do well but he seems cursed these last few years.

Don’t think it’s too bad because he was able to jog/run off the pitch after it happened.

But with Salah, Sadio, Naby and Thiago not available not being able to play next weekend might be a big loss.

Could be more painful when it cools.

We’ll see what’s the damage if there is some.

Don’t think this can be put down to his ‘injury-proneness’. Anyone can turn an ankle. Just bad luck really, for him and us given the players we’re already missing.

Sack the groundsman!!

Where’s the money for the velvet turf and new groundsman John?

Truth be told, the pitch doesn’t look at its best at Anfield or at least that’s how it looks in the streams that I have been watching.

Rolled/turned ankles are a bastard injury. They can happen to anyone at anytime and you never know how bad they are until the swelling goes down.

I did mine at school playing rugby and for 24hrs I could not put a shoe on that foot as my ankle had swollen that badly. After the swelling went down, it was right as rain.

I twist/turn my ankle now and just carry on as the ligaments are so lax!

BTW I have a lot more weight on them now lol

Much prefer him in the front 3, he’s out of the way but a decent finisher. Two nice goals from the right hand side position now.

Very nice finish today

I remember Klopp using him as a false nine and on the left but did he ever play on the right of the front three at Liverpool before this season? I can’t remember for the life of me.

End of 19/20 he got a couple of run outs there. He scored off the bench against Chelsea and got an assist against Newcastle.

There are other games too but I can’t remember them.
