Alexander ISAK: 2025/26

Eh? I’ve never seen him play well let alone being electric.
I’m still hoping he is a good player. However he still needs to get fit, gel with the team (which looks like it is stuck together with a wet paper bag) and then fire on all cylinders.
It’s not going to be easy!

Just watch some of his games against us :winking_face_with_tongue:

That’s what my son says to me. I just don’t remember him, certainly didn’t notice anything remarkable. Then again I only watch us and just notice players that we end up not marking and then don’t give a toss who or what their names are :joy:.
I don’t do scouting anymore!

Is there any reliable information about this ‘injury’ before the all important NW derby?

I checked the MEN and they use the the word “claim” and cite a report in The S*n.

So no. Nothing reliable.

Another fucking crock to add to the list.

Wrong thread maybe but I genuinely fear for us next season. There’s a perfect storm brewing.

Not another sicknote sam…geez…I always looked at him and thought…no power in the running…no power in the defending…just a poacher in the goal mouth…but even thats decreased as he’s sikkie and injured all the time…look for someone who plays, acts and scores like Torres…

Torres always looked ill :face_with_thermometer: yet managed to score often enough!

He (Torres)always looked stocky, would make his presence felt in the box…muscled his way past defenders..was a presence on the pitch…Isak…is a thinner version of Haaland… who lollops around the pitch…but ends up in the box at the right time…

If only that were true…

Like always, if there’s a hint of bad news on social media, they turn out to be true:

Isak’s transfer will become a case study in how to mess up everything regarding a big transfer. Somehow, every party in the transfer has come out incomparably worse than before - Newcastle are a shambles, they didn’t spend Isak money well and will likely finish in the bottom half instead of in CL spots; we went from being champions to also-rans who had to rely on PL getting the fifth spot for CL and their rivals for that fifth spot being very inconsistent; Isak has had the worst season of his career, marred with arriving unfit, then being mostly injured.

It will really take something big for him to justify his price tag and turn his fortunes at Liverpool around.

They’ve just been less good than us, nothing to do with consistency.

I think its too early to say. He had a totally disrupted pre-season, partly his own fault as he could have put his head down and carried on training with the Newcastle squad.

When he came in he was unfit but played and picked up niggles. Then the leg break was just pure bad luck. And that often leads to other niggles that follow.

Hes signed for a few seasons. Im hopefull that the world cup provides him with a chance to gain his fitness and he comes into pre-season the Isak we were hoping to sign.

They both irritate me…both lollop around the pitch..pretending to tackle…pretending to chase the ball…ok…the both score sometimes…but they are hardwork to watch…

I’m not even sure what to call it anymore. I think it’s better when the league is more “uniform” in terms of quality (I have the right word in my language but I’m not sure if this is the right translation), that you don’t end up second with 97 and 92 points.

I’m just a bit bitter that, from this point of view, Man United look closer to winning PL in the next few seasons than Liverpool - and the point difference over this whole season will likely come down to them beating us at Anfield and, the way things are looking, at Old Trafford, too.

In hindsight, I can see the plan with Isak and Ekitike but if they are both going to be injured, I just don’t see how the club are going to execute it, especially with a head coach that his club’s fans and, seemingly, some of his players don’t like.

Exactly what I wanted. The curse of Nikola.

I’ll send you a beer.

It’s not a curse if you continue talking about and everything else remains as it is!
