Meanwhile Garnacho dropped out I believe. Bullshit.

It’s not a friendly it’s a group match anyhow unused sub.

So at least he will only play one.

No wonder he got injured, the way they jumped on him…

Is that the Ronaldinho/Nike cheat trick with the goalpost?

:joy:

This is his second year at Liverpool, but I would be already looking to offer him a new and improved contract.

Quite simply, he is a wonderful midfielder and it’s only a matter of time before Madrid/Barcelona come sniffing.

He’s just sunk the former, I don’t think he thinks much of them…

Yeah this is my view.

And he would move to them why? :man_shrugging:

He is a fantastic footballer with a ā€˜yard dog’ tenacity, doing fantastic for us and at times is the unsung hero, I do wish he did have a yard more of pace but otherwise love what he gives to the team, which is 100% every game.

I’m pretty upset with the number of cards he’s accumulated, rightly or wrongly, but it might be a blessing in disguise (unless Everton and/or Girona manage to put a spanner in the works). He’s barely had a breather since joining Liverpool, he even played with an injury a few weeks back, so hopefully this mini-break will hold him in good stead.

Yeah, he overreacted to everything against Newcastle. I’d expect more maturity from someone who’s been in this league for a while, his English is good enough and this summer has been promoted to our leadership group. As a player like that, you need to recognize the situation and act more calmly.

But hey, he got himself successive yellow card suspesions, ideal to go back home. Experience, perfectly timed, like Neymar.

:joy:

Joking.

Listened to his interview with Gary Lineker - I hadn’t realised quite how good his English was and how much personality he had. Such a likeable fella
