I did not notice the Mason Mount’s penalty saved by Ali was actually still “live” while it was still spinning/bouncing towards the net. The ref was still watching with no movement to call it dead until Ali celebrated and caught the ball.
As usual, Ali with his full concentration at all time.

On the Anfield Wrap review show, one of their contributors suggested the pen should have been retaken cos Ali touched it twice.
Certainly not the case, and quite an absurd idea. That a goalkeeper has to watch the ball rolling back into his net.

Goalkeeper can touch it as many times as he likes if it’s still active.
