I feel he’s improved the quality of his corners, those dangerous outswingers we’re using. Less of those who aren’t getting past the first man.
Don’t tell @PeachesEnRegalia that he’s thinking about Alice.
They didn’t call him “never-flaccid Flanno” for nothing!!
I always wondered if scoring at the kop end makes you hard.
I’ve always been a massive fan of his….
Apparently that’s his seventh goal for us. It doesn’t feel like that many.
Trent’s on 12, but four have been direct FK’s. I always think of Trent as more of a goal threat from open play, and he is, but funny there’s not that much in it statistically.
Yeah given how powerfully and accurately Trent can hit the ball he really doesn’t score enough goals. He needs to work in training on scoring 30-40 yarders like stevie and I’d like to see him try them periodically so he scores 2-3 a season when he drifts into space centrally. If he can execute that it’ll force opponents to mark him when he drifts inside and create all sorts of space.
I think Robbo is a much more consistent player than TAA. Yesterday TAA showed how careless and sloppy he can be. Sometimes he gets away because he will then come up with some out of this world passes that change the game but that is something TAA can learn from Robbo in terms of concentration and focus 100%. Not a hit on TAA because both are probably top 3 in the world in respective positions if not the best, but just show that even the best has so much they can learn and improve on.
Sometimes Robbo gets himself into positions in the box with enough time and space, where Trent would surely bury it, but Robbo plays the pass instead, and it all gets crowded out.
Kind of reminds me of Joe Allen’s last season or two with us, in that way. He finds the space in the box, but if he was a better finisher and/or had more faith in his own finishing, he’d probably have a few more goals to his name.
All Robbo’s goals were more attacking the space to make a one-touch finish rather than a proper shot from an angle or created goalscoring opportunity for himself. He’s not good at that, simply limited in some of those aspects.
Not at his best but I feel he has been played too much and I am amiss why Klopp hasn’t rotated him more with Tsimi
Klopp has groomed these players and watches them everyday, so he must know what’s he doing. Tsimikas is a bit emotional/spirited and I feel Klopp thinks that he can be baited by the opposition players.
Hasn’t Kostas missed a few training/games through an illness? I’m sure I’ve read reports of this, same with Bobby, Jones etc. So not a proper weeks out injury but enough for them not to be fit enough to start.
I expect rotate to come for Villa.
Still another game to play , hope they don’t cripple him
Hope that a journalist ask the manger of Scotland if he is an imbecile
He is an imbecile. I totally understand playing him in the Q22 play-off, but playing him in the NL, against Armenia?
Think him and Mané are the only 2 that are still playing, Mané soon will not be any longer our concern but Robertson … still playing all for the ego of Steve Clark fuck him.
