Arne Slot - Former Head Coach (Part 2)

Success has many fathers

I had been seriously regretting my purchase of pre season tickets given the overall cost of getting two of us to NYC for a few days so had been looking at off loading them, but now incredibly excited at getting an early opportunity to see in person what is coming. Biggest downside is it’ll be too early for most the World Cup players to be involved

But you stated it constantly as fact, not opinion, and told us we had to come to terms with it. Maybe some self-reflection is due

But @Mascot shouldn’t @ZinedineBiscan have that honour?

I wouldn’t want to appear like I was celebrating classlessly.

I’m happy he’s gone though do feel a bit sorry for him. Seems a decent guy and led the club well during last summer’s tragedy. Didn’t deserve the abuse he got. Hope he gets a good reception if he ever returns with another team

He’s richer today than he was yesterday. I think we can stop feeling sorry for him now.

6.9m GBP for severance! That sort of money can set a family up for life even if they put in a unit trust that comprises of dividend stocks…

He seems to have that ability to reinvent history to suit his current hill he is on.

Only Football managers get such a massive reward for failure.
One manager, Andre Villa Boas springs to mind. He made a lot of money for being failing at his job.

It’s not a reward for failure. It’s what he’s owed on the contract he signed which we gave him based on his success before he got here.

So much pressing, no wonder the team had so many babies through the past 7 years. I was trying to figure of how that explains Alissons family growing, to which my wife said ā€œHave you seen the man?ā€

Either something’s lost in translation or you’ve had too much to drink

It is a figure of speech, i appreciate it is not a reward. I do wonder how it compares to winning bonuses.

If only all contracts were honoured in the same way. Under UK Law an employee does not have any contractual rights unless they have worked 2 consecutive years. We could have just paid him a month’s Salary which is standard practice.

Anyhow, in regards to Slot I have no issue with his severance pay given that he over saw a Team that won the league.

as more information comes out about what was going on behind the scenes,

lack of interest in academy, fitness issues, tactics, holidays for the players,
player disharmony,Slot flying back to Holland at every opportunity,

I’m starting to form the opinion that Slot might have just lost interest in the job

i guess we’ll learn more in the next few weeks

Not a single Liverpool player has liked the post from the official account announcing him leaving and thanking him for his work.

I wonder if they’ve been instructed not to engage with social media for a while.
