yeah, not signing that.
however, like on here, the amount of people who agree but wont sign it must be heavily weighted…that wont be lost on FSG

im sorry but im lost on the point your trying to make…could you explain?
That doesn’t make much sense, you cite the old guard but one just hasn’t contrtibuted and dropped off a cliff edge, one sits on the bench and one misses 20 games a season (and we apparently activated the extra season on him).
If he was brought into get the wage bill down VVD and Salah wouldn’t have signed new contracts. That would be Hughes job anyhow.
If they keep him they it will be simply down to their believe it was circumstances. However I do feel recent press comments suggest a shift in tone. I do think he had to show something post Paris to save his job and he hasn’t yet.
They did. But there was a contention because FSG wanted to appoint a more legit POTY thus the deal fell through
Btw I am not embarrassed by the club. Even if the club is relegated today, I still won’t be embarrassed. The club’s performance has nothing to do with my choice of support. Call it out, we had been ridiculously bad and dodgy all season but I am not embarrassed.
Petitions are cheap wins in their own heads. If it makes them happy, it’s ok. This world is big enough for strange people who needs to vent and think they won and are making a difference
Inclined much to agree with others,Slot has to go, but fan petitions are not the way, after all anyone and their dog signs petitions, largely with people with the totally opposite point of view.
Not touching it!
As a business, you look at the bottomline. If there is a massive drop in season ticket sales for next season once the news of Slot continuing for the next season, they might just act accordingly.
Petitions like this are lame AF…
Or even real individual people. I imagine there may be several Steven Gerrards or Kenneth Dalglish perhaps even a cheeky Arne Slot or two.
Can a man who has come through his horse oeuvre unscathed, who can draw seagulls for fun ever be embarrassed? ![]()
surely no ones dropping a season ticket on the grounds the club dont sack Slot?
Probably not, but in fact, sales of the new shirt might not go as planned (next season’s shirt is released in 14 days). LFC TV/video contracts will be terminated (I’ve seriously considered it myself because watching it has become so irritating), etc. General sales of all kinds of LFC merchandise could certainly decline if the fans remain so dissatisfied. These are revenues that have been painstakingly built up over time. And the club probably won’t be thrilled either if ratings drop because people no longer want to watch our games as regularly, etc. We’ve already read here that many have lost interest in even watching each game anymore.
yep, all those things are likely to happen, and i hope not all will be put down to ‘cost of living’ crisis.
Edit
I’m not embarrassed by that petition. I think it’s more embarrassing how we’ve performed for too much of this season. But like our tactical approach, the petition is a pointless endeavor.
I think the multiple boos which have rung out at Anfield this year, the media criticism, the dropping of standards, the performances above all…that will weigh far more than a web page full of plenty of unverified signatures.
But there wont be a drop in season ticket sales irrespective of who is in charge.
Whats the title defence or the season in general.
I wouldn’t sign any petition like that.
Its beyond crass and weak.
However,
Supporters are fed up of what they are watching. And something has to change before next season. Whether that’s a new manager or a different vision from the current incumbent remains to be seen.
We all know THIS has to change.
Billionaire owners of multiple sports teams are not making decisions about their £4bn asset based on something so completely pointless and embarrassing.
Just look at the thing. The domain, who it’s run by, the lack of transparency around the number of signatures. It lacks any credibility whatsoever.
It’s not an either/or situation though, and adds to the overall picture of discontent that hopefully, as a whole, persuades FSG to act.
And while I wouldn’t sign it, I think the owners have brought it on themselves by consistently putting it out there how happy they are for Slot to remain next season… stubbornly sticking to such an unpopular stance has driven unhappy supporters to vent their displeasure however they can.
