Arne Slot - Head Coach (Part 1)

That’s 20/20 hindsight. Every match mattered until it didn’t. None of the players were downing tools back then.

Arsenal helped with their arse completely hanging out after New Years

So what?

So what? It is directly addressing the contention about how long its been since Mo was really firing - its not just this season but goes a significant way into the previous season. Back then we either over looked it or put it down to the pressure of trying to get over the line with the various records he was going for. But the reality is things completely dried up for him on the back end of the season for a period that lasted a good 20% of the season.

Maybe he had the trots and needed the toilet?

Can’t we get rid of him instead of Mo😐

MO stuck in a meeting ALL afternoon… not able to train, so not available for selection tomorrow

That’s one way of looking at it.

Another way is that had we dropped a few more points after 8th March, then it might have given Arsenal the belief and impetus to push us harder than they did.

He can run around the Christmas :evergreen_tree: tree tonight at home and be fit tomorrow.

All I can remember is waiting for Mo and TAA to be on the pitch at the same time to get a result.
Biggest cheer from my son I I always came when Trent came on. It was given something would happen whether it was them who scored or not. You could see it in their attitude and how they played.
The rest of the team slumped much earlier and were a concern.

Hopefully, we see a repeat. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

So who, having already sacked Slot, is now a little more sceptical? I certainly am.

I feel, the club of course knew this was a transition season well before we could evaluate such, and provided Slot didnt fall below a certain line, he would be ok. Whilst that line was close a few time this autumn, some stability looks to be returning. That away win at Inter did us so much good. To his credit Slot got put in the mixer and he seems to be weathering it. If he pulls it off it will have done him some exceptional good.

Because in the least, however shit we got, a new manager would have been very much worse

You need to see the video I posted in the post match against Inter from redmen tv and Paul Daglish it was a Rhomboid midfield :squinting_face_with_tongue::face_blowing_a_kiss:

But apparently with loads of diamonds all over the pitch in possession. :winking_face_with_tongue:

We should have a Slot/Mo/Edwards/Hughes/Linda/John bingo (did I miss anyone)

And Billy Hogan.

Title is “Whose fault is it”

I hope this diamond formation doesn’t go the way of Salt Bae’s restaurant business

I’ll be glad when this saga is over one way or the other. It is pitting good reds against each other, which actually tells us how divisive Mo was in the interview he gave. And when we are going at each other, things get stupidly forensic.

Mo has been brilliant for us. If he is to stay, although his powers have waned, he still has something good to offer. Perhaps, if we are going with two up top, that might be a way to get more out of him, as being isolated on the wing is doing him no favors.

He made a mistake, everyone agrees on that, and if he is to stay there must surely be some sort of reconciliation, as letting it fester won’t heal a thing. If we don’t see any signs of that before he leaves for AFCON, I strongly suspect that will be it, and the last time we see him will be against Brighton tomorrow. Seems surreal to say that.

He may or may not start, we are all watching, and in the absence of anything definitive, we will be paying special attention to the nature of the wave he gives to the crowd on the pitch at the end.

But what about his goal at Burnley
