I don’t think @mattyhurst was being disrespectful. Both things can be true. It’s a league that produces a lot of talent but don’t they generally move on quite early so the french league doesnt benefit directly from that playing strength?

Many young players think they are better than what the club thinks of them, that’s confidence and that’s good. But often than not, they tend to be over confident and forgot that hard work and patience are still probably the 2 most important qualities valued. To the extreme, look at Bobby Duncan, over confident, badly advised, not even in football now at just 24.

You the one that sounded like I offended your family or something it’s a league that’s evidently ok but hardly amazing anymore remember Arne’s shit management thumped 4th place. Yes it will provide talent so does the Dutch league it doesn’t mean it’s any better than say the Championship.
But I remember not to dismiss any league in future just in case someone has a personal attachment.
I also got a good feeling when we got him, a bit similar to transfers like Can and Origi. Though had a lesser CV than those two at the time of buying him.
And the amount of players we tend to overrate as fans compared to how many really get a chance or make it long term at a club like Liverpool… the difference is huge.

Don’t think he was as young as these ones but Bernard Diomede was useful wasn’t he.
