Agree on this but the lactate test is only one small aspect so has no bearing as they will have other metrics.
Although was always good to see Milly kicking everyones arse.

It’s been said that one of Slot’s problems is that he’s “too honest.”
With him claiming that he feels nothing but support from owners who won’t extend him and supporters which have booed him, it appears that he’s learning that honesty isn’t always the best policy.

Oddly, I can live with that if the game is controlled, and there are moments where we spot an opening and change the pace.
I cannot remember a game this season where that happened.

Absolutely. It’s far from ideal and can be seen in Arne fucking off to the Netherlands etc at every opportunity. A Liverpool manager needs to have a connection with the city and its people and (fairly or unfairly) the Slot family have made this much more difficult. The contrast with Jurgen, just with respect to this, is stark and I think our next manager needs to be fully committed to living in Liverpool with any of his significant others so hes not constantly being tugged away

To be honest I did think this was an issue with Jose, though I assume Arne has a rent on a house and isn’t staying in a hotel like Alan Partridge.
Don’t know how many times his family are over mind.

I think your guess is accurate…I think the main focus now for Slot and his wife is the son though…He’s probably at the age where he is doing his HAVO and possibly pushing to VWO..That could be why the son is still in school…
I think it does eventually takes a mental toll on the head coach/manager..And that will affect his performance as well…

I’d say that’s vastly overrated.
Our issues are totally of football nature.
Klopp was Klopp, it’s not living in Formby and going to the city of Liverpool a few times that made him what he was here. Yes, he was special as a package and that’s hard to replace.
We don’t know how much these people spend their off times in Liverpool and who even cares. That is not important for our football performance.
Perhaps a better example for that connection with the city (something that can be very vague), more than Klopp’s family, would be the Benitez’s, who have fully settled there.
These things are a great bonus, but let’s not go too far from the football.

Maybe if we keep replacing coaches after one season, then we will keep winning the league because of ‘luck’.

Anyway I would not be surprise if he goes during the summer. Qualifying for CL alone might not be enough to save him. I think there is a lot of conversation to be had between now and then between him and the Edward-Hughes team. He will have to somehow inspire confidence that he can turn it around next season despite having such a terrible one.
Even with a Top5 finish and reaching the CL final Slot has to go. Him being sacked is long overdue and at any other big club he would be gone by now. Maybe that’s what makes us so ‘special’ as a club?
It’s a D- as a coach for him this season.

My worry is a line from an article around December time. Can’t find it now but it was talking about all the issues we’ve faced this season and about patience being key. They then referenced Arteta and how long it took him to get rid of the old guard and build his squad. 5 fucking years of this?! No thanks.
