Arne Slot - Head Coach (Part 2)

I think the worry at the moment for all LFC fans.. is that we have witnessed how quickly things can plummet without the right man at the helm. In short, we have watched Olly at the wheel, Ten Blag at the wheel, Amorim at the wheel at the Old Toilet in the last few seasons alone… We are terrified of the same spiralling effect happening to us by keeping the wrong person in place.

Now that most of us are coming to the conclusion that Arne lacks certain traits to make him a present-day outstanding manager/coach, we are like saying to each other… " what are we waiting for - get rid now"… Fever pitch is still way off at the moment, but we still have two games left to play… Who knows what it will be like come the end of the season..

well said this!!

Well, I hope the board is wising up to this fiasco…One can only wonder how did Slot let it slip away from him so badly?

Hughes and Edwards must be shocked at what they are seeing too. I wouldn’t be surprised that Henry blew his fucking top after it was clear we are miles away from challenging for top 2 in the league and we bowed out at the QFs of the UCL meekly.

Thanks Commando; it hasn’t been working for quite some time and the sentiment didn’t seem to match. Could have something player or club focused instead perhaps; the cult of the manager only really works when you have an exceptional character like Jurgen or Bill rather than a ‘character’ who thinks he’s exceptional like Brendan or unfortunately it looks like Arne.

Lack of experience like that chappy at Chelsea who got sacked!

Obviously he’s trying to save his job but where is his confidence coming from when he says he can guarantee we’ll be much better next season if we have the summer he wants? He’s deluded.

No, he isn’t. He is saying that only thing he can say. What is he supposed to say? “I don’t think it’s going to be better, and I’m out of my depth?”

If only FSG reignited their interest in TAN, their decision would be made

They had an interest?

This is different. Rosenoir is at best a mid-table manager in his time as Strasbourg. Slot won a title at the Eriedivisie and won the title for LFC with last season using what is largely Klopp’s squad. This indicates that he and his team knew how to make tweaks to the training and tactics and had the experience of winning trophies.

One of the plausible explanation is that Slot lost sight of himself. The huge point gap only serves to make him feel like a genius. He then probably approached this season with a lackadasical attitude towards training, thinking he can outsmart the whole league again.

Only towards last September, he knew he is fucked when the contract extension from FSG is not forthcoming due to erratic performances in the team.

From that point onwards, it is just to do anything for self-preservation. Fire the set-piece coach, try freezing out Salah but not to do some introspective viewing of his tactics and training methods.

Dec 2025 should be a big wakeup call to Slot where his tactics are a failure and his training methods are a failure too.

The whole squad and the Head Coach jetting off to elsewhere during mid-week with no matches instead of doubling down on more tactical training and doing more active recovery only serves to reinforce the party boys reputation of the Head Coach himself and the Squad.

It is no wonder that Anfield’s patience has been pushed to the limit over and over again until they couldn’t endure the shit they are seeing. Some went into quiet resignation, some went singing an ex-player’s song while the rest simply booed the fuck out of the Head Coach and the Squad.

Yeah but also, what if the players are collectively brazen just like the coach has been up to … saying, I’ve just booked in some nice chilled family time on a mates yacht, or I’m focused on my expanding property portfolio which is looking great for my retirement and several generations after me. You know that apartment in Dubai yeah, well I’ve sorted it, going next week for a few days.

It’s the greatest job in the world isn’t it. We won league last year and 19 teams didn’t, so come at me because I’m already a success. They still get mega paid even when performing shite. And if you’re still under contract, well happy days!

The only way that culture changes, is the next players coming in to replace them get paid less, and then they get hungry until the cycle repeats itself a few seasons further down the line

He also thought he would win the league last season.
Think it’s a reflection of his self assurance rather than delusional
