Arne Slot - Head Coach (Part 2)

I am sorry I disagree here that Mo salah has done this on behalf of the club.
When you are fighting to get to champions league on the final day of the season, all this drama should not take the front seat. This is where people like Stevie can never be surpassed by someone like Mo… no matter how many awards you win.

He of all people …who thinks he represents the club and is basically running a PR campaign now that fans will be on his side…and it’s an act of absolute selfishness when the champions league spot is at stake.

This game should not be about what Mo said…end of. He has this habit of making things about himself.
He needs to look into the mirror himself about his own performances…and dare I say the weakest pressing guy in the front 3 of Sadio ,Bobby and Mo is talking about pressing and heavy metal. Did we have Jurgen last season at the helm Mo ?

If they keep Slot I will be angry but I’m not fussed over Alonso, if we were missing out on Enrique or even Klopp I’d be gutted but if he wants to go to that fuck up of a club so be it.

Sounds like The Athletic is now also reporting Alonso and Chelsea have finalized terms.

We’ve been rubbish for over twelve months and getting worse every week.
I can’t see this making it worse.

Slot was offered a 3 year contract when Klopp resigned from our club. If he was offered a 2 year contract instead? Then he would have had an extension and even longer terms, after winning the premier league title in a first year completed.

What has really happened to Salah’s delusional mind?

Slot will be professional and say I will see out my final year contracted. Unless the owners actually retire him instead and compensate him.

Therefore, if the agenda is to get Slot sacked? Then you better be sure Mo and any other current Liverpool player, that there is a manager in waiting ready to start in about 2 weeks time!

:exploding_head: my head is gone completely, players aren’t the cleverest are they?

as @RedOverTheWater mentioned, the fact that Mo has gone public with this hasn’t happened in the absence of efforts in the background to change the course of the season and indeed the future of the club for the better. He’s only gone out and done this when it seemed like the leadership is dithering in the duties of care of the club. I’m glad Mo talked out because something needs to get the ball rolling.

What has to be remembered its not only Mo this season thats had digs that not everything is smooth behind the scene at the club.

Sorry but what are you rambling about.

Maybe Liverpool are comfortable losing Alonso because they believe that a bigger fish is still available, namely a refreshed Jurgen Klopp.

But if they’re really keeping Slot into next year, I just hope that they’re vindicated in their belief in him. Because the alternative is another season wasted.

Simply that I’m an honour type person. If you were the current Liverpool coach, would you put your hands up and say - yeah I’m shite and I hand in my resignation?

Salah probably made what - 50 times the income Slot made up till now? Big deal being under a contract right :face_exhaling:

If the writings on the wall, then let the ownerships do their job, but … after the last match at Anfield vs Brentford is the professional way to do it.

Carlo Ancelottii after the World cup!

then i just read he’s extended his Contract with Brazil until 2030! :frowning:

Go and get Sebastian Hoeneß already. I loving watching World Rally Championship, and two of the names dominating WRC were/are Sebastian Loeb and Sebastian Ogier. Although they are French and not German, the name Sebastian means long term winner!

(This is 1+1 = 3 math. Hahaha)

And the reason why I rambled on about Slot being given the correct 3 year deal initially, was because the owners actually made the right call there.

If it was any less, then you can bet he would still be on 3 years at this current standpoint right now, and the compensation package would be even more sour for FSG to deliberate on.

Hard to get a tune out of players when they don’t want to work to a plan and are more interested in their egos

Zidane managed it quite well.

I’m not saying he’s a bad manager, just that you can’t simply overlook his period at Madrid.

I’m glad Mo did this post and this really puts in light his earlier comments. When he did his interviews regarding him leaving it could’ve been interpretated so that he was questioning some players when he said that he hopes the culture of putting the extra effort wont wanish. But now this comment clearly outlines that in his eyes the direction of the coaches tactics/way of coaching/conditioning or whatever is the problem, not the players.

Whats the love for Nagelsman, he hasn’t exactly got Germany firing
