Arne Slot - Head Coach (Part 2)

Really need to spell Iraola name correctly. At least you have not put down Areolar.

I’d take either. Pros and cons to both. Iraola has that PL experience and he’s worked with Hughes before. He hasn’t won anything though and hasn’t had to deal with playing three games a week on the regular. Hoeness has won something and has contended with being in Europe. He doesn’t have the unique PL experience though which I think is important. Bayern might also come calling at some point.

By the way, food for thought.

Heady days, indeed.

There is no mention in this post in regards to what we are doing tactically or not doing and that there seems no plan from Arne!

This is the basis of why we need a change.

All what you put are valid excuses in why we didn’t do well as a team, but the stats don’t lie, we have fallen off a cliff and the coach just hasn’t produced a coherent tactical plan either offensively or defensively.

Although I disagree a good post :+1:

I think they are like Slot in that they don’t like managing people who have gravitas and are strong minded.

i wish we got Ancelotti…

Finishing within a whisker (behind) ManU is not a bad feat in a transitional season…

Sarcasm

How we have fallen lol

the same could be said of the players losing their abilities in a single season,
but Mo, Gravenvach, Macca, Konate seem to have…

Over Klopp? No way.

Anyway, the point was less about Ancelotti and more about how the club doesn’t leak anything about its manager until the time comes to make a decision. So I’d take what James is reporting with a grain of salt.

And not many managers left on his own accord and set up a properly functional team for the next guy to take over.

And much of that may be down to the coaching or set up they are being asked to work within.

i bet Ancelotti wishes he got the LFC job,

he wouldnt have wasted a year and half of his life at Everton…

What irony, if somehow we let Bournmouth pip us to 5th on Sunday, and Iraola decides to stay with the Cherries for a CL run. HoeneB stays in Germany, because we missed the CL, and Slot ends up staying, knowing that FSG wanted to replace him. Dominos of misery waiting to fall.

I think Marco Rose will be pretty pissed considering he’s already been appointed to replace Iraola.

Yes, but he has completely transformed the team and has them playing European football next year. He also plays an exciting brand of football. I’m not saying he’s the answer, but I am intrigued by the possibility.

RE Alonso: Perhaps he doesn’t want Liverpool…have we thought of that?

Hi can they ever dare to bring up new contract talkjns after this horror show if a season :grimacing:

That’s a big issue then. Because all top top managers inherently have personality and gravitas.
