Arne Slot - Head Coach (Part 2)

I’ll wait until Tuesday noon. If he’s still here by then I’ll fully expect him to stay until his contract expires.

That or results are so bad they have to cut him lose in November.

Who is they? Hughes and Edwards? They’re likely to go with Slot because their contracts also expiring.

Mean more FSG, if they caught in the mire it will force Henry’s hand.

He’s not leaving this summer. They’ve just hired his set piece mate.

They are looking to hire.

We’ve had bad seasons before, but this is the first time in approximately a decade that the vast majority of the supporters is convinced that we won’t bounce back next season. Slot has stripped the team of its identity and no one believes that a new assistant, some signings and a better preseason is going to make much of a difference.

The underlying issues will remain regardless of the above and they will come to the fore again, sooner or later. It’s a damn shame that everyone can see it except for the people who are entrusted with running the club.

Why have you quoted me?

I have mentioned his negativity in his press conferences.

My whole issue was him wanting his previous coach back with him and people using as a stick to beat him with.

Plus, there are little trivial things that other coaches have done including Jurgen that are being used against him.

He should be judged by what happens on the pitch, none of the other shit matters and what is happening on the pitch should see him lose his job.

The rest should be irrelevant.

Apologies
My comment was directed at the “feeding frenzy” response to your post
I quoted the whole post instead of addressing that particular point, made by @Mascot

Sorry for the confusion

Nah take a running jump

I would ordinarily agree but his domestic living arrangements do concern me, they dont facilitate him being at his best. Not to stir, but you would be right, apart from this concerning fact.

The one good thing about Slot continuing into next season is that at least his preferred XI will get a full pre-season.

Competitive games against Japan, Sweden, and Tunisia at the very least.

I’ve been told his couch is uncomfortable and his microwave is fucked.

Just thinking, did our results get worse with only one game a week?

Therefore more coaching?

That worked well.

Always on the beach the slot family - perhaps he needs a gig in the A league?

There’s a Muff near me…

But I highly doubt their last known PPG will be as dismal as Slot’s current PPG…

Well, it is not surprising though, isn’t it? He has been giving excuses after excuses all season long…

Wow, why is he not going to all round anfield to show a shred of humility and offer his apologies for the poor performance all season long??? Or at the least, make an open apology to the fans with a speech?

PPG for the entire season is 1.58. Extrapolate this to previous seasons, that is around 5th(at best) or 6th or 7th or 8th or at worse 9th place. The only kicker is we have no idea if a 5th place finish in the EPL will still be enough for UCL next season.

And as @RER said, if we use the last 33 games as a barometer, we are gonna finish around 11th/12th/13th place.

Just going by simple stats, it is clear under Arne Slot, the club is not gonna end up winning the PL and/or the UCL for next season. There is also a good chance we might not get UCL next season.

If a simple stat extrapolation by an amateur can see that, I am pretty sure the data nerds, Edwards, Hughes, Mike Gordon and Bill Hogan will see that coming, especially Mike Gordon and Bill Hogan who lived through the Rodgers era…
