and we all thought it was hughes the genius in charge of recruitment. turns out its the system damnit!!

As I haven’t fully be bought into this thread like others, which players have been openly critical of Slot? Is it just Salah? I ask because if its just Salah, that’s par for the course really. The guy has a long track record of lobbing grenades over his shoulder, even if the target isn’t usually the head coach but someone further up the hierarchy.

Like, I’m not really surprised Salah is deflecting like this after the season he’s had. He usually does it from a position of strength (playing well) so it leaves a much more sour taste when he’s been as poor as he has.

Either way, his team is going to the UCL and possibly a trophy to boot.

His team is level on points with us right now. He might have the same or better season than Slot havr this season…

I do hope Slot goes because he is in a no win situation with some of the fans. If he does well next season, it is expected because the club spent hundreds of millions and Slot was just lucky that we have great players who will win with or without him. If he continues the rot, then these fans will just say I told you so. So for the rest of us and for his own mental health, he should leave.

Fuck Mo for all this shit.

If he mentions them one more time I’m going to … scream.

I am very ready for Slot to go.

I am also very ready for Mo, VVD, the physio, the boot-studder and Arne’s dog to all STFU.

NO-ONE is blameless here.

Very honest is our Arne. Like all Dutchmen. They’re straight talking. Dunno about the women. Never met one. But your Dutchman is very honest. Like in Ted Lasoo.

Mo’s comments are basically him saying to prospective future employers ā€˜Don’t blame me for this. It’s not my fault’.

It’s a remarkably selfish position to take, and shows the very opposite qualities he is moaning about. Individual ahead of team.

I’ll miss him on the pitch dreadfully. I won’t miss this periodic media shit being pulled.

Mo ≠ Ramy Issa.

The HAVE to distract us because the football is so shite both in terms of viewing pleasure and results. Keeping us distracted with talking points because Arne has no clue how to improve things.
Like Arne, shut the fuck up lad. We can SEE abject lack of accountability and leadership in the pitch in a match by match basis.
On my way to the match and this has put me in a right huff.

We can question Salahs motives, but his motives are symptomatic to the real issues.

Unfortunately everything Salah has said is likely true (even if through his egocentric lens). After he leaves I anticipate further details to come out. For months we have complained about player fitness, Salahs digs speak to that.

The squad mentality, fitness and high standards were a hallmark of this squad 18 months ago. Players who were club captains for their national side.

This summer could/will likely see Salah, Robertson, Alisson go, maybe Jones and Konate. VvD turns 35 in 8 weeks. We are facing a very real prospect of lack of leadership on the pitch. Players like Milner/Henderson who set the standard and demanded it of others.

We can complain about the style of football, the results, slots press conferences but the most damning thing for Slot is it seems players don’t want to be here. Klopp had a core leadership group of Salah, TAA, Robertson, Alisson, and VvD. That no longer exists.

What I can’t determine is if the exodus driven by players not wanting to put up with this shit, or a manager that can’t handle strong personalities.

It’s likely to be both. You don’t become a top player without a strong personality. This is equally bad in terms of recruitment: prospective signings will get a whiff of the stink at the club and steer clear.

It also came from Virgil, which is also mentioned in Joyce’s article. It’s not just about Mo. I specifically posted a link to it.

Eventually. What did he have at the end of his second season?

When 2 extremely driven senior players with different personalities are saying the same thing, it doesn’t look good on Slot…
