Alonso is locked in. It’s too quiet in his camp.
How sad that the family of a man who only last season led us to just the 2nd league title in over 30 years are being subject to that level of abuse. God knows what Shankly and his family would have had to put up with on social media when he had a run of 6 seasons without a trophy.
Let’s not pretend otherwise. We have “fans” who are no better than “fans” of any other club and arguably worse and that is sad. I used to think we were better than that but the levels of whinging about just one poor season smacks of entitlement. That “this means more” bollocks was and is frankly cringe worthy and embarrassing.

Slot has once again given himself a few days off; he’s very good at that, giving himself days off…
There is no proof that picture is either recent or even relevant.
Are we in court? ![]()
His absence has been noted on numerous occasions, and apparently he is always having breaks and holidays and days off. Rarely watches or visits the academy. Never in Liverpool training fringe and youth during NT breaks. Gives a day off between a weekend and a midweek fixture, and many days when it’s a week gap. We are very undertrained and that very fact does indeed make it relevant.
But of course you don’t have to believe a word of it – no problem.![]()
He should take the weekend off too.
Slot: “For those who watched PSG game, the home one, fair to say the future does look bright and we were able to have more ball possession than them. 21 shots, more possession, high xG against team that has more ball possession.”
And there you have it: the one thing the Dutch are mad about in football – possession. It’s all about what you do with that possession; simply having it is meaningless.
We’ve lost 2–0 twice; that’s what matters. The rest is nonsense and excuses.
Funnily enough, he was banned from the touchline for 2 games last season,
We won both the games against Newcastle and Southampton!
Thank god he wasn’t ![]()
And refer to the post above, do people expect him to work 7 days a week 24 hours a day!
I don’t find it relevant, but it’s true. He spent time with his daughter in London. Her posts show that.
I wouldn’t have posted it myself, but why not, actually? Pep Guardiola is also seen in public with his daughter. There wouldn’t be anything wrong with that if the situation were a bit different. Right now, it just looks bad that he keeps taking time off. People get upset about it when our performances are consistently disastrous.
It is what it is.
When you work in football, you’re expected to work seven days a week as a manager – that’s one of the reasons they pay you a ridiculous amount of money. He already takes every international break off. Our players fall apart in the last quarter of almost every match, and that’s down to this lazy manager who’s produced a squad that’s not fit enough.
Well yeah, you can work even when you’re not at Kirkby or in Liverpool. You’re always available, as Klopp talked about the transfer window when he was on vacation and wanted to forget about football (almost impossible). And yes, regardless of how much they get paid, they do get time off. Guardiola, Slot, Hodgson, everyone.
You missed the 24 hours a day!
Tbh its a bit stupid to moan about him taking time out to see his family…at the end of the day fsg are his employers and im sure they are aware of his situation and have no issue with it, …i mean if your family was elsewhere and you went to visit them every other day would that be different or is it because we are now at the point because of constant hounding that its an offence to spend time with family who stay in holland simply because he places his family above Liverpool? Seriously is that where we are as fans ?
If he’d wanted to spend time with his family, he should have brought them along or become an accountant. Then he would have been home with them every evening. This job comes with certain consequences, and that means working your fingers to the bone and not being able to fly to Enschede or Ibiza as often as he’d like.
I don’t know if anyone was truly aware that Slot was permanently living in an apartment at Manchester Airport; perhaps they thought it was only temporary until his family situation eased or changed. In the long run, it’s certainly impossible to build any kind of connection to the City, its people, or its fans under these circumstances.
Taxi fare should be cheap then.
Why don’t you try addressing the substance of the matter? You’ve made your feelings about me clear often enough.
Really?
It’s about time he took a one-way ticket to the Netherlands.
