Klopp went to gigs, the guy deserves a life.
Good man.
Thats a hint in how he feels about Trump too.
He’s run with a squad built by another manager (a high quality squad by a high quality manager) and still has gotten us #20.
Deserves his time off and also to rebuild the squad in his own image.
Ironically I think this is a healthy thing given where we are. I hope we can win v Palace for the presentation but it makes it clear that we are getting our R&R in early so we’ll be ready to hit preseason refreshed and start strong.
Yeah, I think that is right. We are brought up on the stories on our dynasty being built on Joe Fagan going round the changing room taking everyone’s medal away from them with the message of “next season starts here, so you’ve won nothing yet.” But flip side is these lads were getting their beers in throughout the season and were going to go off and relax on their off season. They looked distinctly amateur in their approach to the game as these lads do today and so this attitude from the coaching team was a stunt that needs to put in that context. The game is so much more professional today that you dont need these sorts of stunts. Worse, they are probably counter intuitive as without a release at the end of a cycle the grind comes to feel never ending and its purpose feels less clear. These guys today already have those professional instinct ingrained that click back into gear once this party season is over.
Really good article. Unfortunately, not allowed to copy and paste.
Amazingly he doesnt include Forest
Who isn’t after a bottle of sherry?
Freed article:
“maybe rotating a bit more”
But, but, but Arsenal, injuries.
Any graphics showing their every match day positions as bridesmaids?
Another question: Is 29 continuously at the top of the table an EPL record?
What was the biggest lead (day by day) we had on them?
Far from it. In 2019-20 we only missed out on matchday 1.
Also in case anyone was wondering, the record for having been at the top of the table the longest without winning the league, of course goes to Arsenal.
And for all their thinking they were entitled to be the ones to capitalise on a Cheaty stumble, they spent fewer days at the top last season than we did.
I wonder if Carlsberg produce their beer in north London because it’s probably the best bottling in the world.
As @YoullNeverWalkAlone said above, injuries.
