Shoigu has demanded a Cease Fire and it is being accepted by both parties. Not really clear if Azerbadjan will vacate conquered positions though. My guess is that they won’t. But maybe Russia will force them to do so, I don’t know.

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and Armenia have ceased hostilities near the border following the phone talks held by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
“At present, the hostilities in the area of Mount Kilisali have ceased, and the situation has normalized and is under control,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
It’s properly nuts. I’m surprised it didnt get more press because the scale of what it says, but it wasnt long ago they disappeared Jack Ma for a period of a few months. If they can do that to him, then there is no one isnt fair game.
Indeed. The death of people doing their utmost to try and make it to a better life is heartbreaking. And as a father to think of the children… it’s gutwrenching.
Does anyone have any info on the current situation in Saudi and along the Red Sea? I have relatives that are intending to be there early next year - It appears to be an escalating conflict. Any verified news would be helpful.
Is it shipping or on land ? If shipping, there is a slight risk, as Iran and Saudi Arabia trades blows at times, sometimes leading to collateral. If on land, there are few active clashes that I know of between the arch enemies, although the war in Yemen is very active. The Houthis have yet to engage KSA shipping though as far as I know. But of course, you also have Eritrea and Etiophia there and then it’s hard to say, the war is going very badly now for Etiophia. But so far as far as I know, that is a land conflict.
This is what I know but I am not really an expert on those conflicts. I just observe news from them from time to time and try to keep informed. But I could never guarantee anything in terms of what can happen there.
