Didn’t miss much then.

Another poor result for Leverkusen.

Always gonna be tough for Leverkusen. Just shows how much of an outlier the last season was.

Dortmund really are a bit bang average. Kind of shocked they made the CL final.

The whole Terzic out/Sahin in move was a bit fishy to me, very suspicious that.

Worth remembering that albeit a great CL campaign, they finished 5th last season. A bit like us in 04/05, although we won it.

So I don’t expect them to challenge on two main fronts.

And let’s not forget that they were robbed of a couple of their best players. Xabi might be a good manager, but he’s no magician, no one is.

The interesting thing will be to see if he can bed in his new players in time to stay competitive in the league this season. Maybe though they see this season as a purely transitional one, we’ll see.

It will be interesting to see if he does a third year and as you say bounce back a bit like Klopp saying that they can easily come back into it and are still doing well in the CL.

Xabi is a great manager. One who will continue to learn and become even better.

Leverkusen had a lot of things going their way last year. What they have done last year is something unprecedented. The single greatest domestic season of all times perhaps.

It’s unrealistic to expect that to continue. Leverkusen last year came back quite a lot from losing positions with late goals as well.

Leverkusen is probably the perfect club for Xabi at the moment. Allowing him to learn on the job as opposed to being in a big club like us or Madrid where there’s going to be more pressure to win (more the case with Madrid)

And probably it’s for the best that Xabi didn’t join us at this point in his career. Slot is much more experienced as a manager

Interesting to see basically a “new era” of German goalkeepers.

Neuer internationally retired, Stegen out with a big injury.

Nubel, Baumann and Blaswich are called up, zero caps between them. Maybe some other names will get a chance in the near future.

Maybe finally a proper opportunity for Nubel.

If you think with Neuer, he got his big chances with the national team through circumstance: Enke’s death and Adler’s injury.

There is a big chance for someone there.

Gravenberch and Gakpo start vs Germany tonight.

Pavlovic (20, Bayern) and Stiller (23, Stuttgart) in midfield tonight could be the midfield at the World Cup because Groß and Andrich are 33 and 30 already.

Bloody Hell. Germany not hanging around. Weird VAR review. Not sure who was meant to be offside.

Finally Germany 1:0 up. Gakpo substituted after 60 mins.

Hopefully it counts now

Are you allowed to have a 2nd country team? Anyway for me it’s Germany.

I like watching Germany. 2nd half has been much better and from what I have seen recently Klopp could be waiting a while.

Augsburg always a tough place for Dortmund to go and after what happened in midweek I knew they would drop points today. But to even get beaten…

Mr. Nice Guy Nuri Sahin probably won’t make it to the end of the season.
