Strange match. Nothing much coming from the German team after the goal. US actually was a bit more threatening.
Meanwhile, Portugal and Chile was an ill temper affair. 1 player from each team got sent off just before half time.

I think Germany seemed to wear out quite quickly in the heat. All teams will have to pace themselves for that.

I take it that this 10 second substitution rule is per sub, because that seemed to take a couple of minutes.
If you didn’t mentioned it, I have totally forgotten about the new rule(s). Guess the refs have forgotten as well!

There doesn’t seem to be much fan involvement. My wife has become obsessed at the number of food outlets dotted around. Seemingly American sports fans can never be more than 10 yards from a hotdog.

No, you don’t even need to walk to the hotdog vendor stands. They have vendors walking around on the aisles and bring the food over to you. We definitely have that at the baseball stadium.
