Problem with rumours around this lot is that Zidane’s had the job 3 times now.

And I thought our bench was dire on Sunday…

Carrick in more strife than a pregnant nun.

What’s not to love :rofl::rofl::rofl:

There was a great Onion headline from about a year into Eric Adams’ run as mayor of NYC

I bet this is how the Glazers feel after this 2 years with Sir Jim at the helm

Wonderful when they turn on each other

That last night was one of the most predictable outcomes in football recently.

Its like watching Lord of the Flies

Back in the same pattern once again with United.

We wanted Ole to stay
We wanted Rangnick to stay
We wanted Ten Hag to stay
We wanted Amorim
We want Carrick to stay

I thought the issue was the Glazers but Ratcliffe runs the footballing side. It’s almost like Jason Wilcox is about as good a football director as he is a footballer.

Knew ratcliff would be perfect for them after watching him turn Sky’s great cycling team into ineos middling one

Big sir Jim’s most interested in tax avoidance, trying to get the Government to pay for United’s new circus tent, and sacking tea ladies.

It’s just bizarre. Why on earth appoint Carrick. Years’ worth of mismanagement. I feel sorry for them.

Towards the end of last season I read this really interesting break down comparing Carrick’s Utd to Amorim’s. On pretty much all metrics other than points, Amorim’s was better. There is something interesting to dig through to figure out what it was that allowed them to turn their results around without seemingly playing much if any better, but the more important question was always whether the performances would eventually catch up to the underlying metrics, or whether he could continue to somehow stay ahead of what the fundamentals said this team should be doing. We are now where it seemed obvious it was always going to end and is why this talk now about being let down by a bad summer seems so off track. Especially as the players moaning about it would have been top candidates to be replaced had Utd done a more widespread refresh
