Watching some matches without VAR makes you feel why it’s needed.

Sunderland is playing well out of the gate. Early season showdown with Accrington on Saturday.
Also keeping an eye on Sheff Wednesday. Not having that auto -6 points should assist them towards getting back to Championship
It’s quite a battle in league 1, Sunderland have been attempting to get back for about 4 years now.
Wigan and Portsmouth also up there again.

Sunderland had a chance for 3 points today, which would have secured top of League 1. Gave up a late goal, and drew with Fleetwood.

Derby County and Nottingham Forest are the two bottom sides in the Championship…the legacy of Brian Clough long forgotten…bit sad really…

Derby is in a world of hurt. Michael Dell’s holding company has a £15M charge on their stadium, likely putting them after only the tax man for £20, and I am not sure that club is worth £35M right now. That is going to make finding a buyer extremely difficult.
