Ha …we all know you’d be looking at sheep
They have them there too!
I was in Llandudno today. Only place with a real life bank with walls in 30 miles in all directions.
There be goats there too.
Anyway, much cooler there than further inland and actually some sea fog rolling in. I’ve managed to properly cook myself today. I am really struggling on the heat this time round for some reason.
Got lucky I was in Cornwall for the first, the second was high but short, this however has made me feel rather sick and ill. If we get a fourth its hopefully for when I’m in Cornwall (Its hot down there but there is a breeze and a massive paddling pool (Atlantic ocean).
I was genuinely trying to figure out what a walled life bank with goats stretching for 30 miles could possibly be.
Welsh banks are a wonder to behold
There’s a gif for this but…

Our forest fire season here is starting to get bad again, though still nowhere near the levels of 2023. Air quality in Toronto is the worst in the world apparently, over the top of our normal scale.
This video is from a train near Armstrong, north of Thunder Bay in northwestern Ontario. Absolutely terrifying
Photo from yesterday, a nice clear day without the forest fire smoke pollution
Today’s webcam photo. Orange sky from the smoke pollution.
Air quality index in Toronto
We have had haze for the past 2 days, but nothing like that. Projections had a nasty bank of firesmoke arriving tomorrow but it has turned toward Toronto

This orange haze feels worse than 2 years ago. It’s thicker (more dense). The photo gives your the impression that it’s still bright outside but it’s actually darker, and I have to switch on the lights inside. It feels like late evening.

Because they have no money?
For Toronto, I think it is worse than anything you saw in 2023. The Ottawa valley down to Montreal got more of it. Overall, 2023 was a much worse fire season (major fires started in May, not late June), but Toronto is getting a much higher share of the firesmoke now.
Wonder how many people have been complaining about the temperatures that they save up for all year to sit in on a Spanish beach?
At least I got my outdoors walk late evening yesterday (it was 38°C with humidex, but with a good breeze)… There’s no way I’m going out for walks in the next couple of day.
Because they have no money?
They are so few and far between it’s crazy. In some places they come in a van, once a week.
Current webcam photo taken from CN Tower, Toronto.
You can just make out the Toronto Stadium for WC at the top of the screen in this haze.

Spectacular, thanks for posting these pics.
I still remember 2023, when he we had a similar situation here, because of your massive wildfires. The smoke came all over the Atlantic, and we were in a similar orange fog for a few days, maybe not quite as dense though.
