Oh I understand perfectly. I live in a world where i don’t recall the start of this sentence without rereading it over and over. I removed something from the freezer the other day and held it in my hand, I then continued to search for the iteam in the freezer because i was oblivious to the fact i was holding it. Cognitive issues can make one so frustrated and massively overreact. The hardest point is when one doesn’'t have an understanding of their own condition, so they don’t realise they have a problem, one just sees themselves as normal and that it is just who they are,

I agree with you that many people on here have incredible patience for us incredulous patients!

I am a huge believer in fate and that along our journey through life we are destined to meet the people we do. This place offers you safety, understanding and compassion… whilst trying to make sure you don’t suffer too much, I take this from the amount of times i see you mentioned by people in the forum.

There was a sub forum on TIA, many years ago and I think it was called the Bastions.

Yeah, that was it, the Bastions, and it was kept secret from the rest of the forum. Only longer standing members deemed levelheaded enough were invited in there. At some point, it was dismantled, possibly because there weren’t enough levelheaded members anymore in there, I don’t remember…
We have nothing of the sort on this forum, at least not that I’m aware of…

But back then, we also made the attempt speaken about above: a section which was there for everyone to read, but only for selected members to post in there, with the mission to only post informative and/or thoughtful posts. As @ZinedineBiscan said, it was set out as an example of how the forum should work as a whole, and to motivate newer members to raise the level of their posts. I’m not sure if we kept this until the TIA forum was dismantled and we created TAN, or if it was deleted before that. Anyone remembers?

I think it fell apart because no one ever wrote anything in there. The goal was to create a sort of essay-style discussion area I guess but I don’t think I ever wrote a single word in that section of the forum as it just felt pointless. Replicating threads that were already publically available in another place.

There you go even if it’s repeated I don’t see the it. It’s like left and right I now only recognise left. Use left continuously when I mean right. I never had this problem before Lyme Disease. It’s very confusing.
Deep down I ‘know’ but it just doesn’t register, I know what I wanted to say but get it the wrong way round. Have to read someone’s sentences multiple times to understand what they want to say. It’s like being a 4 year old kid all over again.
I just let it go now if I rewrote it I’d probably make the same error any way.
